This is such an outdated game, both in mechanics and control, that I cannot recommend you to play this in 2026.
Best of it's era.

for when your favorite game goes too soft in this modern day and age this game is a fresh breath of air
wow i just realized W40K it's just brutal. Enhjoyed the game wvent hough it's just a walking simulator with extreme action scenes. I loved the designs of the models and evertything. One thing i really really hate was the choose weapons options, you could only switch to one specific weapon on some random cross settings, it was weird, i wanted to use dual snipers and a sghotgun, but the system just diotn't allowed it to it.
A great, fun, fantastic game to play. This is my first 40K game and introduction to the lore. I can't wait to eventually play Space Marine 2. Initially wouldn't start on my system, but adding a DLL file from GitHub that the community recommended solved the problem. Only experienced two crashes while playing. Had to hard reset my computer, but other than those two, game ran flawlessly. Another thing I liked was being able to complete the whole game in about 10 hours. There's still more to do if I want to collect more achievements, but overall I feel very satisfied. I love a long game, especially if the narrative is well done, but it's nice to be able to complete a game in one or two weekends.
An incredible action-packed take on the Warhammer universe! This was only the second Warhammer game I have ever played, and I absolutely loved it! For a long time, we were mostly getting strategy games in this universe, so seeing someone finally create a brutal, boots-on-the-ground, third-person action game was amazing. Stepping into the armor of a Space Marine and shredding through hordes of Orks feels incredibly satisfying. The combat is heavy, gory, and perfectly captures the grimdark atmosphere of Warhammer 40k. It doesn't overcomplicate things—it just gives you a chainsword, a bolter, and lets you become an unstoppable force. The Anniversary Edition is the perfect way to experience this classic. If you want to step away from the top-down strategy views and actually feel the raw power of a Space Marine upfront, this is a must-play. 9.5/10 — For the Emperor! Absolutely fantastic game.
