About

Begin your adventure aboard your personal, giant voidship, traveling between the multitude of systems within the Koronus Expanse, a barely charted and incredibly perilous region of space. Despite being considered a backwater of the Imperium, this region encompasses an enormous stretch of the void, filled with dangerous creatures and prodigious opportunities for profit and exploration.

Rogue Traders never travel alone. Gather your retinue of righteous heroes, twisted psykers, and perfidious xenos. All of them are ready to follow you into the darkness between the stars. They will offer you counsel, aid you in battle, and allow you to amass ever more power. In return, you can guide them through their own personal journeys, changing their destinies forever.

During quests show your subjects mercy or disdain, stay faithful to the God-Emperor, or consort with enemies of Mankind - your every decision and every act, even in character creation, is changing the in-game open world and those who inhabit it.

Slaughter the enemies of Mankind in a fully-fledged isometric turn-based tactical combat. Take advantage of cover, the environment, and careful positioning to overpower your enemies. When that is not enough - use your companion`s powerful abilities to turn the tide of battle and achieve victory even in the direst of situations. Our video game adaption of the classic Rogue Trader ruleset allows an enormous number of possibilities for you to explore.

I love reading. I love reading dense webs of tangled mechanics like a haruspex hunched over entrails. I love reading meandering CYOA stories about the planet I've set foot on and their Trekian woes standing between them and loyal servitude in my domain. I love reading tooltips that say insanity like ""+((50 + 10 x Ballistic Skill bonus) / number of enemies in the area of effect)% damage with an additional +(10 + 2 x Ballistic Skill bonus)% dodge reduction to your next ranged area-of-effect attack." I love reading cute flirtatious plotlines with sci-fi babes. I love reading a sprawling quest log full of rumors and contracts. I love reading my combat log to understand why Abelard just attacked 4 times when it's not his turn. I do not recommend this game if you don't like reading.
Non C-RPG, non Warhammer 40k guy review: This game absolutely rules. The levelling is weird and clunky and boring, and the camera's bad sometimes. That was all the criticism I could level at this game. Everything is seriously brilliant. I don't play many games any more but the marriage of mechanics here seems so smooth and intertwined and I love the layering. The narrative is awesome - I'm not very clever, so some things went over my head, but I was absolutely thrilled the whole time I was playing the game and excited to explore and fight and talk with NPCs. I think this game reminded me of playing Skyrim for the first time as a 9 year-old, having no knowledge of the limits of game design and truly inhabiting a world(s) for which I can truly not grasp the scale. Top 5 games of all time for me :)
Abelard, tell these insignificant worms how good this game is. "At once, Lord Captain. Insignificant worms! You stand before an excellent CRPG with unique classes containing satisfying builds, fun abilities and a surprising amount of replayability. The music is great, the voice acting well done and the writing is well above average. If you're a fan of games like Baldur's Gate and Divinity, you owe it not only to yourself, but to the God Emperor himself to give this a try. Some have rated this game negatively due to the launcher drama, but Owlcat listened to their players and got rid of it. In all that is holy on Terra, this humble servant hopes they have learned their lesson. Some complain of crashes and such, but thus far there have been no issues for this Lord Captain." Thank you Abelard, that will be all.
猫头鹰就是神!
Very in-depth and dense rpg
I can make a warrior nun shoot demons and aliens in the face. 10/10 game
A really solid CRPG, Owlcat have really hit it out the park again. I really liked how they tied everything up with the ending cards. I think that reactivity to certain events and choices could be better. Overall, this game is an 8/10 or 9/10 for me
这游戏太上头了,简直就是战锤40k世界观的博德之门!
