requested a refund, game just doesnt hold up to the second, not even worth the 8$ imo
Well i Liked this game a lot most people say its trash but i do not think so it has its unique charm i will recommend this game to my friends to play together i will try to get the rest of this series of dawn of war
I've never played the tabletop game, but I've been playing Dawn of War since the first one came out in the early 2000s. I have liked them all. Dawn of War 1 was a more traditional RTS. Dawn of War 2 was a smaller squad-based game with rpg elements. They're different, but I enjoyed them both. Dawn of War 3 always felt like somewhere between the first two games to me, which I like because I liked 1 over 2. DOW3 often gets panned as a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ MOBA, and maybe it's just me but I've never found that description fitting. I always found it like a smaller, streamlined version of DOW1 myself. It felt more RTS like than DOW2, but not as much as DOW1. I liked the inclusion of heroes, as it reminded me a bit of Warcraft 3 my favorite RTS of all time. The most valid complaint I see about the game that I agree with is the campaign. I like it and it's done well, but it has you jumping factions from one level to the next, which admittedly can be a bit jarring since anyone who's been playing rts games for years is used to picking a faction and then running through 10 missions or so with them. I've liked all the Dawn of War games in their own respects, and I actually like this one more than 2 (which i did enjoy) because this felt more RTS like. I'd rank them DOW 1, DOW 3, DOW 2 based on my preference. This game looks great and the animations of the units are really well done, even from your bird's eye view you can see and feel the grit of combat. The game is optimized well too. Deploying big hero units on the battlefield just feels good to me. Sadly you'll have to bring your own friends for mulitplayer now as DOW fans never took to this iteration and largely abandoned it. If your expectations are properly measured and you get it on a sale there's plenty to like here despite the mixed reviews. For the Emperor!

Dzień dobry. Zakupy w Biedronce mają lepszą fabułę niż ta kupa z przewagą kupy Do widzenia.
Dawn of War 3 is to Dawn of War what C&C 4 is to C&C Tib Sun; so f'ing far removed from what was good about the previous title that it is criminal to use the same name and pretend it's even remotely like the games we actually love. It's a shame because the graphics etc. are alright, voice acting etc all ok - but it just feels like it's so dumbed down it might as well be made for a phone or tablet. And the "Campaign" - sh!t me. I'm spoilt ok. I was born in '84, grew up in the 90's. So series used to have like, 22 episodes per series and Campaigns would have like 15-20 missions, and there would be at least 2 of them (good guys bad guys - possibly 3 with the neutral guys). This steaming pile of gretchin-♥♥♥♥♥ not only has a tiny Campaign but it then mixes up the 3 races all together, so you do one mission as a Marine, one as an Ork, one as a Eldar.... ugh it's disgusting how lazy and ♥♥♥♥♥ this game is. Just buy the Original - it's better than this even given it's age. I sincerely hope DoW 4 takes a good long look at this and gets as far away from it as possible; maybe new generations really are suffering from the kind of mental decrepitude that requires devs to dumb down games so much - but as someone who lived through the hey-day of the greats: this new trend for massively expensive but feels cheap games is awful. Bit like how some 'new' movies have SFX that are worse than Jurassic Park - can we just stop regressing please. If you can pick this up for the price of a coffee go for it - anything over £5 I wouldn't bother.
This game is honestly so much fun with the graphics and mechanics, I don't get the hate for this game! I love it!
