Reviews
This Review is for anyone looking for the DLC in the anniversary edition or having issues playing on a modern PC. This is what I have found that works for both DoW 1&2. To play the DLC you have to install it as a total separate game (Soulstorm GOAT). I have no idea why it doesn't show up when you run the anniversary edition. You have to search your library as it comes with the anniversary bundle according to my research. I tested it with the steam cards to be sure. I got first one for booting up the Anniversary edition. The second card came from playing Soulstorm as a separate game. TBH it feels so sloppy that this was phoned in for an update. It still can not handle modern resolutions. Also beware the start process for benchmarking can scale the resolution down so much its impossible to read on a 48inch TV I use as an extra external monitor ( Sony 4K 120hz). Tab key is how I get around the start process going to a tiny box when you benchmark it and the "Next or Ok" buttons get lost. I found that keeping it at 1080p basically is playable but the writing is still difficult to read at times on the main screen but adjusts once you actually start the soulstorm campaing???? This was an issue even before the Anniversary edition update. Which sucks cause at 4k the models look pretty! At 1080p still good but that lack of sharpness is there. If anyone else found another way it would be nice to see but so far this all I can get it to run on my PC playable. Still love the Soulstorm DLC best with all the playable races in the campaign. Actual turn based mechanics on the campaign map. Just be ready to do a lot of adjusting to get your resolution right for you. Also where else can you see the old school Dark Eldar and show them the wrath of the Imperium? ;) "FOR THE EMPEROR!" I will change to recommended once they either fix the issues or actually help owners run the game.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Classic
Warhammer Dawn of War from 2004 now bundled together in one entry. This game predated Steam's DLC feature so previously, you had four entries for the same game (but different expos). Now you just have one. It seems they've removed LAN functionality. Bad form. Leave it in, even if it's 'not used that often'. People still do have offline LAN parties. Sadly, this seems to be a very common practice for some reason. Now if you want to play this over LAN, you'll need to find your old disk versions (and at least patch 1.50 to remove SecurROM) or if you bought this before the update and delisting, you can still download the older client under 'W40K Dawn of War - Soulstorm' (which is not available for purchase anymore). If you really want to get this game, there isn't much sense in buying this version anymore. It doesn't play well on modern systems and they've stripped out what makes it useful while not really fixing anything else. You'll probably want the Definitive Edition which, 'conveniently', costs much more.

стратегия прикольная +против игроков играть не буду
Sadly I don't see the point of spending what I spend on this release. I was hoping for 1080p as in option. I find it frustrating how its not included. The Graphics are not that improved in my opinion. Coming from someone who loves the WH40k universe its sad to see no support for 1080p . We shouldn't depend on modders to address this. Dev can easily patch this in. yet refuse to.
Its a timeless classic. Despite being +20 years old it is still one of the best Warhammer 40k games on the market. Highly recommend if you are into 40k.
