FOR THE EMPEROR
с этой игрой я продолжаю свое погружение в мир вахи 40к и, не смотря на то, что местами игра устарела (советую поставить мод на вменяемое отдаление камеры), играется она все еще бодро и весело. основная кампания прошлась мною на одном дыхании

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Anniversary Edition

Wonderful RTS from an Old Era

Really worth trying for beginners and veterans of the RTS genre
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War is one of the most representative titles in the strategy genre. This game has an enjoyable campaign, unique factions, fun gameplay and a nice grimdark story. However, it’s a game that requires some patience to understand due to its old-school style, some outdated mechanics and pathfinding issues. Gameplay: Really enjoyable but rough RTS Art: Impressive 3D graphics for its time Music: Nice and unique dark soundtrack
Gameplay
Playing Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War for the first time is not an easy task. However, it is a very enjoyable experience if you are interested in the genre. Like other strategy games, it features two important aspects: an economic and technological system for each faction, and a tactical combat system with specialized units and vehicles that share clear strengths, roles, counters, and weaknesses. At first glance, the hardest part is figuring out which units are better against others, since most of them use similar ranged weapons and can effectively fight each other, as is often the case with infantry against their own unit type. Fortunately, and this is one of the aspects I like the most, the game offers plenty of help, encouraging the player to use certain units, buildings and vehicles right from the beginning with the campaign mode, which is quite good, and for me it is the only campaign among its expansions that can truly be considered a proper main story mode in the traditional sense of the genre. On the other hand, the game’s AI is quite terrible on lower difficulties, while on higher difficulties it becomes more aggressive but still remains fairly good, relying more on swarming tactics than on properly managing its units to fight the player.
Art and World Design
This game is very visually appealing, with well-defined graphics and semi-realistic textures for its time. However, I must admit that some models and assets look outdated and a bit silly, but this is completely understable due to graphical limitations when it was released and the game’s somewhat exaggerated direction on its art style. The map design is also quite decent, even though there are very few maps or the skirmish mode. This was later addressed in the expansions, which added more and better maps. The maps included in the base game are mostly pre-made asymmetric scenarios, with fixed starting positions and no procedural generation.
Music and Sound effects
The soundtrack is simply amazing. The game has an epic and atmospheric sound design that perfectly captures the Warhammer 40K universe with brutal, dark and heroic music themes. Lastly, this game has a very poor audio quality for sound effects, explosion and gunfire noises overlap too much and have an exaggerated volume that feels disproportionate to the rest of the sound mix.
Great game still cant wait to get the remastered edition once i upgrade my laptop
This is one of only two games in the past 27 years that I have bought every expansion and accessory pack (along with Starcraft/Starcraft2). This game keeps you hopping even on replays. In its various iterations, I have played it enough, I probably owe the developers a lot more money.
Ahora soy xenófobo ¡¡¡¡¡¡FOR THE EMPEROR!!!!!! 10/10.
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War is where it all begann and it´s still one of the most iconic RTS games ever made Set on the Planet Tartarus, the story kicks off with the Blood Ravens Space Marines arriving to deal with what it seems like a standart Ork infestation. Under the command of Captain Gabriel Angelos, what starts as a routine purge quickly spirals into something far more dangerous involving Chaos corruption, ancitent secrets, and a conspiracy that threatens the entire Planet. As the campaign unfolds, you fight across multible regions of Tatarus, from ruined cities and industrial zones to frozen wastelands, uncovering the truth behind the chaos outbreak and the hidden forces manipiulating events from the shadows . The real strenght of Dawn of War is how it combines this gritty, cinematic Warhammer storytelling with large scale RTS battles. Each faction feels brutal and distinct, and the game captures the dark, relentless tone of the 40K universe perfectly, Pros: (+) Incredible atmosphere and faithful Warhammer 40K presentation (+) Classic RTS gameplay with strong base building and squad combat (+) Memorable campaign on the Planet Tatarus (+) Great faction variety (Space Marines, Orks, Chaos, Eldar) Cons: (-) Dated graphics by modern standarts (-) AI and pathfinding an be inconsistent (-) Some balance quirks between factions (-) UI feels old compared to newer RTS games Overall, Dawn of War is a legendary RTS that defined a generation of strategy games. It´s brutal, atmospheric and incredibly fun still today
