Great mix of long term strategy and on-field tactics (XCOM2 maybe). Precision targeting works wonders and rewards careful planning. Does not let the player get too comfortable with their game plan. Some fights might run long but game supports saves on every knight's turn for convenient breaks. Execution Force adds a really fun mix of classes, albeit a bit overtuned for a normal playthrough.
Its a solid XCOM style game in WH40k. The main problem though... if you care about lore, about power scaling - and if you are in to 40k then you do - this game will be infuriating. A cultist with an autogun wouldn't even be a speedbump to a Space Marine. Grey Knights should not be taking cover and retreating from a pod of chaos cultists with heavy stubbers and auto guns. If you are new to the universe - Watch Astartes on youtube, or Secret Level on Prime to see how standard Space Marines handle cultists. So while this game is solid, and challenging, its hard to play almost entirely because of that. Might seem like a minor thing but if you're into the lore you'll understand ;) Hopefully the sequal with Deathwatch is better balanced. I'm gonna thumb it up i guess because it is a good game, but the power scaling is a hard pill to swallow.
Its a bombastic 40k game!
INSANE POTENTIAL WASTED, too limited with "only 2 factions Grey Knights Vs Death Guard" Imagine with DLCs and a workshop.... Just buy it on discount.
Love mostly all Warhammer games and like turn based combat.
