The power scaling is a bit off and lore wise some of it is meh. But overall very good Xcom meets 40k / Grey Knights. The girl boss Inquisitor is actually awesome. Id get it on sale but 7.5-8/10 fun time enjoyable.
Xcom wrapped in Warhammer. Just perfect
its fun
Just finished this game and it's awesome!! U can play as the secret chapter of the space marines, that is rare on the warhammer games. Forget about the negative critics saying it's hard (at least on normal), a hint that i can share here is that u must pay attention to the talent tree of your brothers and prioritize your interceptor on the early game.. with this u can have an excellent run. The story is also very good, it had some interesting plots at the end of the game and i hope there's some continuation about it. Had a great time with this game and if u are a fan of the warhammer series.. u will enjoy this campaign too o/
За Императора, за Серых рыцарей
Absolutely love this game. It keeps freezing up sadly, now that im 20+ hours in
Неожиданно отличная игра.Хотя узнал о ней только в 2026 .
SENSACIONAL !!!
TLDR: A good pick on sale with the assassins dlc to scratch an x-com itch. If you squint, its a 40k themed x-com, but if you try and play it like x-com, you might have a bad time. Don't be afraid to be aggressive and wade into melee to take advantage of the crit system. Slow and steady do not win fights. Some missions do seem unfair, especially early on, especially if you're trying to make sure you have a deep bench. But once you hit a certain point, the difficulty feels trivial and becomes a war of attrition – hopefully you don't get bored and try something stupid like pull 3 squads of enemies at once. I found myself saying "hell yeah" as my teleporting, dual knives boy chained a series of crits on a squad just as often as rolling my eyes as another reinforcement of bad guys teleported in. I finally "learned" the game about halfway through and became inadvertently overturned by the final boss. I think your milage with this game will depend on how quickly you're able solve your squad. Story is okay. The first 2/3s are almost beat for beat x-com enemy unknown. It does come into its own, but a little too late for me. I'd have loved to see a version of this game that pivots away from formula much sooner. The real stuff happens in your head as you write the story of your boys. Also, I recomend the assassins dlc for the additional classes. It has a sniper, which is always fun. There might be a replay opportunity in going for a more difficult run now that I have an idea how to optimize a squad, but it doesnt excite me at the moment.
The game is very difficult and somewhat poorly balanced. I have completed the hardest challenge Master tactician mode, legendary difficulty with duty eternal DLC and these are the pros and cons for the game: Pros: -The story is pretty long and fun. -The game is very difficult. -Bossfights are really well done. -Bloomspawn and bloomspawn spreader missions are very fun to complete. -Knocking enemies out of the map is very fun. (DLC) -Dreadnaught is amazing addition. -Really cool enemy dreadnaughts. -Boarding missions are quite fun. -Many dlc story missions, very fun. Cons: -Defend servitors missions are very badly done. Do not play them, they take ages to complete and have a thousand enemies that will wound your knights. -Sometimes too large maps for bloomspawn missions. It's very tiresome to run to all 3 corners of a huge map to destroy 3 trees. -Classes are very badly balanced. Only Justicars, Interceptors, Librarians are needed to win the whole game. Other classes are irrelevant and are worse in every aspect (expect assasins from dlc are quite good). -Morbus gate missions are a slop fest, defending for 7 rounds is boring after having to walk for so long. -Enemy attack ranges are not shown, very annoying. They have 3 ap but cannot do attack and move with 1 ap like player can. It should be mentioned somewhere. (DLC) -Techmarine sucks. -The dlc enemy plaguemarine with an armorbreaking gun is the worst designed enemy in the game. He can throw a grenade with armor break and destroy all your cover, he can shoot you and break ALL of your armor which is very annoying. He also deals more damage than most elite enemies which is ridiculous. Every fight is essentially focused around killing all plaguemarines with armor breaking guns. -Dreadnaughts smokescreen not lasting for 1 turn (maybe bug?) is very irritating. -Warp effect "reduces your max ammo by 1" is bad design for assasins dlc. Sniper assasin needs to have 2 ammo for oneshot ability and if you are unlucky you can lose your ability for the rest of the stage. Still though I like the game very much. Very fun challenge.
