About
Take the reins of a professional football franchise and prove you can build a dynasty.
You're the General Manager. Every roster decision, every draft pick, every contract negotiation runs through you. Build your roster, hire your coaching staff, manage the salary cap, and watch your team take the field, all while an owner demands results.
Scout hundreds of prospects each year through a multi-layered scouting system. Spend scouting points to reveal hidden attributes, attend the combine for measurables, conduct interviews to assess personality, and track college stats as they drop throughout the season. On draft night, field live trade offers and find your franchise cornerstone, or miss on a bust.
Manage a 53-man roster with a salary cap that mirrors real football economics where the cap and contracts grow. Structure contracts with signing bonuses, dead cap, and restructures. Navigate three waves of free agency. Flip players at the trade deadline. Even experiment with out-of-position conversions, slide a tight end to guard or a running back to receiver.

Hire a coaching staff with real philosophical identity. Choose from 6 offensive and 6 defensive schemes that directly impact how your team plays on the field. An outside zone scheme needs athletic linemen and a back who can find cutback lanes. An air raid scheme needs four receivers who can win in space. On defense, a blitz-heavy front generates pressure but exposes the secondary. Your personnel has to match your philosophy. Your coordinators develop scheme mastery over time, but rival teams may try to poach them.
Every player on your roster has a unique procedurally generated pixel art portrait. A custom sprite system designed by an artist layers several components, including head shape, hairstyle, skin tone, eye color, facial hair, and accessories, then composites them into pixel art portraits with personality. With billions of possible combinations, you'll never see the same face twice.

Simulate games with a play-by-play engine calibrated against real professional football data. Watch drives unfold on a field view with live win probability chart, drive logs, and broadcast-style presentation. Every player attribute, from throw power to route running to block shedding, even a lineman's arm length or a running back's weight, feeds into outcomes on every snap.
Players grow and decline on realistic career arcs with position-specific peak ages. Different development traits accelerate growth and training camp events create breakout moments. Watch a late-round pick blossom into an All-Pro, or a top prospect flame out.
Follow the drama through Blitz, a social media feed where players talk trash, analysts debate your moves, and reporters break stories. Coaching carousels, contract holdouts, milestone celebrations, and playoff hype all generate dynamic storylines that make every season feel alive.
Place bets with calibrated spreads and over/unders. Track advanced stats like passer rating, yards per route run, and pressure-to-sack rate. Upgrade your scouting department, medical staff, and stadium by hitting owner goals and earning payouts. Save up steadily, or go all-in by betting your season's income on a championship underdog to cover. Chase Hall of Fame inductions across a 100-year franchise history. Satisfy your owner's goals, or get fired and start over with a new team.

This is the best football GM sim I've ever played. I found it through some random YouTube video, and I've been playing it non-stop over the last few days. The scouting and draft engine alone is worth the price. I've played a ton of football GM sim games (FOF9, etc.) and War Room Football's scouting / draft experience is in a league of its own. You hire a Chief Scout and 5 area scouts who have expertise in different position groups (reflected by their scouting ratings for each position group). During the season, you assign each scout to focus on scouting college football players at certain position groups and caliber of player (you can focus scouting each position group at Round 1-2 caliber, Round 3-4 caliber, or Round 5-7 Caliber players). Then after the college football season ends, you select which scouts to send to specific college pro days, focus on certain position groups at the senior bowl, interview individual players at the NFL Draft Combine, etc. The more legwork you put in, the better your info gets on each prospect. It's so detailed that scouting could be its own game. Finding a sleeper nobody else rated and watching him actually pan out is one of the most satisfying things I've done in any sim. The stats tracking is extremely detailed as well, including PFF-style grades, advanced analytics, all of it, and it actually lines up with how guys perform in the real NFL. I haven't seen another football sim get this part right. The game engine sim results are also comparable to the real NFL. Good teams win, bad teams lose, roughly at the rates you'd expect out of the actual NFL. The game is also super customizable, so you can set it up however you want. And the game developer is extremely active. He keeps releasing material updates every few weeks and the game keeps getting better. It's already my favorite football GM sim, and I fully expect it to keep getting better with each update. The game is also only $10 which is insane to me. He could easily charge $50 and I would buy it. If you're a football GM sim fan, there's no reason to not check this game out.
Perfect for those of us football fans with the tism who care way more about roster management and budgets than actual play calling and running. Lots of stats to go over and player progression is generally pretty realistic. I really like the scouting system, which requires you to plan ahead and think strategically since you'll only be able to scout a portion of all the available players each year. One thing I will say though is every year there's always like 2-3 players who have first-round stats but are projected like 5th round or later. This isn't a big deal, because that happens in real life, but the other AI teams NEVER seem to pick up on these hidden gems and draft any of them until their projected round or later. So you're basically guaranteed to pick up these lowkey monster draft picks as long as it's a round or two before they're projected. Maybe the game could obfuscate those draftees' stats a bit so that it's more of a surprise when your 6th-round pick starts with 76 OVR and not something you're able to plan for halfway through the season. Or something like that. IDK I'm not a game dev. I also appreciate the game including an optional streaming music station 24/7. Fantastic way to avoid repetitive menu music. I've never used it because I usually have some show on instead of music but it's a really nice option for everyone to have. Hopefully we get Workshop support soon because this is the kind of game that requires something like that. Currently you can import .json files from places like Discord but it's such a new feature and the community is so small that there's really not much on offer at the moment. But it seems like this game is growing well enough, and the (solo) dev has been making pretty regular updates, so I'm really looking forward to seeing how the game progresses. Great value for a $10 game.
Very good football sim. Not perfect, but with regular updates it can get close to it. Biggest gripe right now is teams are overly aggressive on 4th down, which gets really frustrating near the end of games.
Lots of depth whilst also being really easy to play through seasons quickly.
For someone who is a lover of sports management games, this is an absolute gem. It has so much polish, with a lot of potential in terms of what can be added on. The only thing I think is missing right now, is more randomness in the world that impacts your decisions, for example your player demanding a trade. The developer says the league lives, I have to disagree as it doesn't really feel that way. At the moment, the loop is always the same HOWEVER because the loop is already so satisfying, I don't find it a problem at this stage.
Wow this game is absolutely phenomenal. This is quite possibly the best UI of any sports managment game I've played. The roster generation is so good that this is the first management game I've played where I didn't want modded, legends, real life, or etc rosters. If this game had a multiplayer/online community I think it would be hands down the best sandbox I've seen yet. Shoutout the developer of this game
Fun low-end pc friendly game and doesn't take a lot of space off your computer or laptop
I've got about 90 hours in so far and i'm still doing run throughs and chasing drafting stud players in the last few rounds. The devs are constantly updating and tweaking things for the better.
I enjoy many types of sport simulation games. This one is meant for those who enjoy sitting behind the GM's desk. You may not directly coach the players or managed the games but your decisions are truly felt at each stage of the season and off season. This is a fun game that has enough depth to allow multiple play throughs without getting bored of the mechanics or the seasonal rotation. The best part is the customization of the scouting. It can be as in depth as you want it to be and you truly feel surprise when you take a shot later in the rounds at a player with hidden stats that meets the eye test only to find out he has a high development window making him a hidden gem.
