[English version: see below] Teeto erfindet den 3D-Plattformer nicht neu. Tatsächlich ist es ein ziemlich geradliniger Vertreter des Genres – und ich hatte einen Riesenspaß damit. Wir hüpfen durch bunte und abwechslungsreiche Level, sammeln jede Menge Zeug und nutzen Teetos Fähigkeit, die Eigenschaften verschiedener Gegenstände zu absorbieren. So bekommen wir unter anderem einen Greifhaken oder verwandeln uns in Stein, Feuer, Wasser und sogar einen Sessel. Ja, einen Sessel. Besonders schwierig ist das alles nicht. Die Sammelobjekte sind selten wirklich gut versteckt, die Rätsel sind einfach und auch die meisten Bosse stellen keine große Herausforderung dar. Dafür funktioniert die Steuerung hervorragend und die Level haben einen großartigen Spielfluss. Ich habe etwas mehr als acht Stunden gebraucht, um Teeto durchzuspielen, aber es fühlte sich deutlich kürzer an. Als der Abspann lief, war mein erster Gedanke: „Oh, schon vorbei? Schade.“ Ich hätte problemlos noch ein paar Level gespielt. Teeto ist bunt, charmant, entspannend und macht einfach unheimlich viel Spaß. Manchmal muss ein Spiel sein Genre nicht neu erfinden. Manchmal reicht es vollkommen, einfach richtig gut in dem zu sein, was man macht. In fact, it's a pretty straightforward example of the genre – and I had an absolute blast playing it. You jump through colorful and varied levels, collect lots of stuff and use Teeto's ability to absorb the properties of different objects. This gives you abilities like a grappling hook or lets you turn into stone, fire, water and even a chair. Yes, a chair. None of this is particularly difficult. Collectibles are rarely well hidden, puzzles are simple and most bosses aren't much of a challenge. But the controls feel great and the levels have a fantastic flow. It took me a little over eight hours to finish Teeto, but it honestly felt much shorter. When the credits rolled, my first thought was: "Oh, that's it already? That's a shame." I would have happily played a few more levels. Teeto is colorful, charming, relaxing and simply a lot of fun. Sometimes a game doesn't need to reinvent its genre. Sometimes it just needs to be really good at what it does. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing 3D platformer. :)

My 5 year old daughter loves this game, and so do I. It is steeped in Mario 64 nostalgia and full of its own quirks and mechanics that make it stand out as a great game on it own. Its a highly polished experience with great music and audio and I highly recommend it to fans of all the classic platformers like Mario, Crash Bandicot and Rayman.

Fell in love with this game so quick. The movement is nothing crazy but it's pretty damn solid. The absorb kirby-like thing is done well and isn't just a gimmick (hoping to find a lot more transformations as I progress). Level design is on point so far. It's got charm and it's polished. It's just really fun and got me more engaged than any other game I've played recently (like engaged just for the sake of playing not just cause I feel a compulsion to beat the game) I'm a huge fan of 3d platformers and I looked back at the games I've played this year and out of the 17.... if I was forced to rank them... Of the games I haven't finished... some I'm judging based on first impressions and others I've made a decent way into the game) Anyways... just get this game. Just delightful! Love the characters and Kiwi charm - relatable, accessible and genuinely funny. Nori and Teeto are such lovable characters that you just want to see succeed. The absorbing mechanic is a cool little trick that provides so much extra enjoyment. Overall, it's just a pure joy to play and you can see the hard work and care that's gone into it. Highly recommended - for all ages.

A good Hat In Time type game. Not as polished as Hat but that's to be expected. The movement is a little stiff but for a first try at this type of game it's excellent. Voice acting and sense of humour is great and it looks lovely. Hope it does well so the studio can show us more of what they fancy making.

This game is gorgeous, funny, and exceptionally well polished and fun to play! I don't usually play 3D platformers and I've never played any of the Marios, but I got into the game really quickly and I just want to keep on exploring!! I feel like there's so many hidden secrets and jokes to find. (Also, as someone who doesn't own a controller, I really appreciate that it's fully playable with keyboard/mouse - thank you!)

Teeto is honestly the throwback to not only the games that influenced it (Hat in Time, Crash Bandicoot, Mario 64 etc) it's a reminder that gaming can just be FUN. That it can be simple and still bring joy. The controls are tight, the camera is great and this 3d platformer plays way better than you'd think. The worlds and humor are fantastic and I found myself just simply ENJOYING my time with this game. Teeto is a standout game and should absolutely be played. If you're reading this review wondering if this game is worth your time and money, the answer is a resounding YES!

Teeto is basically a love letter to classic 3D platformers. While it’s a little stiff to control and lacks some polish, for a first game, it's really good. You can really feel how much love the devs poured into it.

So much fun - a great platformer with charm. Great for playing with your child in 2 player local co-op. Not punishing difficulty wise but still engaging for parents, especially if aiming to get 100%. Cool story and vibes throughout and just heaps of fun, with cheeky humour and crossovers. Very much recommend!
