ok i suppose worth the 3 dollars perhaps making a difficulty level would be good
I had played the game in the previous version and liked it, but I hadn't been too excited to do a review. But now, with the new update, the game is different. The minesweeper are more fun and logic, the variation of shapes has become more evident and fairer in relation to logic. Now I definitely recommend the game, not only for the beautiful graphics and narrative, but now also for the new gameplay.
Similar to the first game, although better. Better art, better storytelling, better gameplay. Now you won't die on first click. I really enjoyed learning history from these kinds of media.
Simples e super divertido!
About twenty minutes in, and this simply cannot be recommended. It all seems to work well enough, but it just isn't very good. The main concept is the layer of history over the top, but that layer is wafer thin and often bizarre.| I set up an airfield in the infamous deserts of France, and there seem to be a lot of American's at the battle of Stalingrad. What the heck? That would be forgivable if the game was any good, but the puzzles are really poor. The vast majority of the time your initial click gives you no information to advance with. So far I have never seen a square with a number higher than three in it, and the vast majority is ones. Not a lot to work with, logic wise. The war there adds nothing at all to the game, either. Your missions are about clearing minefields, and that is the end of how the war fits into the game. No special moves or abilities, no upgrades, nothing to make the game more interesting that regular minesweeper, and puzzles so bland and poorly made it is a lot less interesting. Even on sale, this simply wasn't worth it. Pass. ADDENDUM: 43 minutes, start to finish. All the way to the end the puzzles were small and lackluster. Worst of all, it often put you in a position requiring that you guess, a cardinal sin for mine sweep fans. The history never got any better. While there were many questionable tidbits, I think the strangest was the claim that seventy five million people died, twenty million military and forty million civilians. No clue what the other fifteen million were who were neither military or civilian.
Still a short experience (if you've played Minesweeper before, expect to complete in under an hour). That being said, I would say this is a slight improvement over the WW1 version. I can tell the developers are trying out new things. Weird angles, squares "in the distance", obscuring visual effects, and obstacles on the grid can add some additional challenge to the game play. Like any Minesweeper game, sometimes luck will be on your side and sometimes it won't. But all in all, it wasn't a bad play. Either get on sale, or expect it to be a short experience (unless you plan on replaying because you love Minesweeper that much).
Not bad overall, make sure to GET THE DOGS ON THE FIRST PASS THROUGH as it is a pain forcing myself to play through 80% of the campaign just to get to dog 2 for the achievement. I'm a bit of a completionist. Second to last campaign which is pushing into Berlin has the minesweeper title typo'd as flanks of omaha beach, seems like it was a template title which was missed before release, this is of my playthrough twice on 01July2021. Pros: Nice scenarios with smooth camera movement when the game approaches the minefield. Audio and visual were well done. Cons: Somehow feels less than the WW1 version, less historical/planned and more from the hip. Repetitive after playing the first version directly before, many assets and maps were seemingly copied over. Comments: Overall not a very long game which means it can always be added to. Probably a production decision but they could have started earlier in the timeline such as the North African campaign as mines were in major usage then.
