War Hospital was a very positive surprise that scratched my craving for good management game just right. The game in general delivers a lot of This War of Mine vibes - a title which I also hold in high regard. I enjoyed "just right" difficulty level and the general approach of the fact that even with perfect management, you can't save everyone. The resources are tight, there's always something to do, and micro-management is crucial for reaching more satisfying results. At the same time, the game is far from being considered some kind of management masterpiece. I've stumbled upon subtle bugs, nothing a reload wouldn't fix, but they were annoying considering that auto-saves are pretty rare and not configurable at all. Gameplay is also pretty repetitive, once you get a grasp on things in first episode, it's not like anything will surprise you at all till the end, only ever-increasing difficulty leve. Overall, If you've enjoyed TWoM and like management games in general, this might be your next pick during a nice discount. I totally don't regret my $2 spent on this, 40 hours of pretty intense mind action was more than I expected from it. --- If you liked my review, you can find more of them on my profile and on my curator page.
A solid 7/10 game, it is a nice management game with a bit of pressure that will keep you constantly focused on micromanagement of staff, patients and resources. I like this honestly, a lot of management games towards the end game become mostly automated with minimum input, not here and this I liked. There is a small issue with ambulances getting stuck waiting on NPCs to move but it is not a huge issue.
Love this little game and I replay it every once in a while. Sure, you can breeze through without caring... or you can also try to save everyone, read patient files, prioritize treating civilians based on who has children when you're low on meds, and all sorts of roleplay that adds depth. The story events, albeit fixed and expected on second play through, are interesting and varied. The setting itself is fascinating as WW2 has been explored countless times, but WW1 not so much and this was the very reason why Red Cross and modern patient care methods were created. As for the bad, the game seems abandoned. No more bug fixes for the many bugs. While chapter1 is smooth and has been properly tested, you can easily get yourself stuck in chapter 2 and uninstall in rage. The only solution is to know the symptoms of the problem (heh), save frequently in new slots and never overwrite, and revert on problem. Specifically: !!! In chapter 2, ADS ambulances get frequently stuck. If you notice them stopping outside CCS not being unloaded for hours, reload. Or you will eventually get a long queue of stuck vehicles until you give up. Overall, I wish there were more games like this. Especially from the medical / emergency care field.
Not Good :(

incredibly fun game, However it is very repetitive but if you don't mind that super fun, i recommend checking out "gord" if you liked this game its not exactly the same but i feel its similar enough.
Fun in theory, but the RNG factors are a bit much and the UI is not helpful. Also quite bugged when it comes to achievement hunting.
