Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 22 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

War for the Overworld is developed by an independent team of fanatical developers, each with a true love of the dungeon management genre. We have continued to update the game since launch, with countless patches, balancing, polish, and many new features. Our community has been vital to our success, and we couldn’t have made the game what it is today without their help. We thank them sincerely.

Nice remake of Dungen keeper
fun
It is okay, I suppose. The story is a bit boring and along with the game play. The story do not tell you anything really on whats going on except for "Hey there, want to going on a pointless murder spree to get this artifact and leave you on a cliff hanger at the end?" Even in a game like "Overlord" atleast you knew you are killing things to establish lordship over the lands. This doesn't feel that way as you are just some background guy who gets bullied by the main character until you "die in the end?" or maybe spirit released? I am not a fan of the recruitment system for units. You must create every room available up to five guys then work on new room to maximize units as every unit you receive is like 30 more that you have to wait until you can get another...which means if you have 4 units, you must wait 2 1/2 minute to receive 1 of that unit. They don't explain how the beast lairs work as far as recruitment. Bigger room means more attraction sure. But, when a beast dies it doesn't seem like it raises the attraction to what it used to be. So if I wanted fast recruitment, I would need to sell the entire room and remake it just to raise attraction back up or it will stay at low levels. Graphics are alright, but its nothing to get excited over, or wowed about.

Pretty close approach to old Dungeon Keeper players. As other have reviewed, missions are "time oriented" and the game pushes you to kind of rush each level to avoid a steep increase on difficulty as time passes by. Nonetheless, enjoyable and fun, keeping most of the old DK dark humor.
Best Dungeon Keeper like out there...as long you have all DLCs for all content. However, most people play it for the multiplayer and rush for a quick victory, so if you want slow and steady you play the singleplayer, but the AI both from the enemy dungeon and your minions start to breakdown after the hour mark. Sometimes your own workers decide to ignore sections of the maps you told to dig for no reason, even if there is nothing else to do and you havent used a banner that prevents them from getting or working there. Devs are giving small updates over the years but they are working on Galacticare now, so dont expect anything mayor or intense as fixing AI problems.
Very gut
the map editor is peak and the campains are difficult but not to difficult. I love this game.
Perfectly scratches the Dungeon Keeper itch
if you loved the original dungeon keeper games this game will bring you back.
For me, this game is basically the closest thing we have to Dungeon Keeper 3. I grew up playing the original Dungeon Keeper games, so when I found War for the Overworld it immediately felt familiar in the best possible way. The humor, the dungeon building, managing your creatures, expanding underground, and defending your domain from heroes — it captures the spirit of those old classics really well. If you loved Dungeon Keeper like I did, this game feels like coming home. The developers clearly understood what made those games special and built something that respects that legacy while adding modern improvements. It’s also a great “time killer.” You start building your dungeon, organizing rooms, managing your minions, and suddenly hours have passed without you noticing. I’ve put almost 300 hours into it, which probably says enough on its own. It’s not just nostalgia either — the gameplay loop of expanding, defending, and experimenting with your dungeon layout is genuinely fun and keeps you coming back. If you ever enjoyed Dungeon Keeper, this is about as close as it gets to the sequel we never officially received. Highly recommended.
