Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 22 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Tired of invading dungeons? It's time you built your own!
Do you feel you’re in a slump, monotonously disembowelling evil guys in endless quests for gold and a slightly better pair of boots? Are you starting to wonder if heroics really are your calling? Then welcome to the War for the Overworld!

Excavate and build your dungeon beneath the overworld, in the modern dungeon management game that’s most faithful to the genre’s original DNA. Keep your dungeons, slap your minions, and forge underground fortresses filled with all the dastardly rooms, traps and heinous minions you desire. Do it all under the mentorship of the original and best voice of evil: Richard Ridings!

Evil loves options, and within the Veins of Evil there are plenty to go around! Choose from over sixty rooms, spells, potions, rituals, defences and constructs as you progress through the game. Deploy your fiendish tools against the goodly heroes of the overworld, and teach them the price of trespass.

With six game modes to choose from you can conquer your enemies in your own unique way. Choose from Campaign, Skirmish, Scenarios, Multiplayer, Survival, and the My Pet Dungeon expansion (free 2-level demo included in the base game), and discover what it truly means to be the bad guy.

Build your own maps and campaigns with the intuitive and powerful Map Editor, complete with scripting support, then share them on the Steam Workshop to join the ranks of thousands of custom maps already created! Meddle further, and change the very rules themselves to your liking with dozens of mutators. Being evil has never been so creative!

War for the Overworld is developed by an independent team of fanatical developers, each with a true love of the dungeon management genre. We have continued to update the game since launch, with countless patches, balancing, polish, and many new features. Our community has been vital to our success, and we couldn’t have made the game what it is today without their help. We thank them sincerely.

Spiritual successor to the Dungeon Keeper franchise.
🧙♂️ If you ever wished Dungeon Keeper would rise again — this is it. War for the Overworld doesn’t just imitate the classic formula; it perfects it with modern polish, sarcastic humour, and the unmistakable voice of Richard Ridings back where he belongs. You’ll build sprawling dungeons, whip lazy imps into shape, and watch heroic invaders march to their doom — all while trying not to make your minions angry. The gameplay is deep and satisfying, the Veins of Evil skill tree adds great flexibility, and the long-term support from Brightrock Games deserves serious respect. It’s not flawless — pacing can drag in some missions, and the difficulty curve spikes like a torture chamber. But once everything clicks, War for the Overworld is pure nostalgic joy — a dark, witty, strategy gem forged in lava and love. Verdict: 8.5/10 – Dungeon Keeper’s true heir has finally claimed the throne. 🔥 🎥 Full video review here → https://youtu.be/vz8CcXzQJkc

For the original DK players this has much nostalgia, but it is missing the subtle yet important level details that you find in the more challenging levels of the original DK series. Its playable and full of good nostalgia, but unlike the original it is not "more than the sum of its parts" but more like a tribute by an unknown cover band.
Love the Dungeon Keeper Genre. Great game!
Had fun with the game, but it wasn't perfect. I honestly wouldn't recommend paying full price for it(I got it with all the DLC for less then the price of the base game off sale). I was itching for a dungeon keeper game, and this mostly filled the itch. Only issues is the recruiting of monsters kinda makes no sense like I would have enough rooms to get them in my dungeon but only 1-2 (if any) would show up. Other times I would get filled up. I had to rely more on using lighting blast, and converting enemy units to reliably succeed. even with that I would still recommend it
I bought this game for cheap after wishlisting it for years and I wish I hadn't bothered. The controls are a mess and it fails to measure up to Dungeon Keeper. All around, War for the Overworld is a dud.
It's a really good dungeon game. Fun and interesting, it's still chill.
You know, Im actually really happy I decided to get this game...I was not sure because it was not exactly a dungeon keeper game from my childhood...but it was on sale, and I am super happy I got it...it is the best DK successor game I PLAYED...
I played the heck out of DK and DK2 back in the day. This is such a good worthy successor, especially when compared to the horrid cash grab that the mobile game was. I highly recommend this!
This is what Dungeon Keeper 3 ought to have been, its been said a thousand times over by a thousand other reviewers but this is the spiritual successor. I own most of the dlc with the exceptions being the charity imp and the charity dungeon and i've unlocked every last achievement - this is a game you owe it to yourself to play, and if you haven't, why haven't you? It's outstanding! The only thing this game is missing is Horny himself but for obvious reasons that can't be a thing.
