The Beginner's guide is my favorite game of all time. That set high expectations going into Wanderstop, and this game has more than met them. It doesn't hit me quite as close to home as TBG did, because the lessons I learned about myself from it cannot be learned again, but that's okay. I think Wanderstop is objectively the better game though, and if someone were to only play one of them.... well I'd cater my recommendation based on who they were, but I think most of the time I'd point them to this one. I am not okay, and I haven't been for a long time. some days are worse, and some days are better, but day by day I get slightly better at being okay with not being okay, and that's good enough for now.

Six mushrooms appeared in a hexagonal pattern. I planted a yellow seed in the empty space among the mushrooms, fully expecting the seed to become a new exotic plant. To my utter surprise, the seed and the mushrooms turned into [spoiler] a golden sextant[/spoiler]! I haven't been genuinely surprised by a video game in years! Then after starting a new chapter, [spoiler]the golden sextant[/spoiler] was gone.

Quite simply, a beautiful game.
Wanderstop elevates the “cozy game” genre with a narrative that reinforces the importance of relaxation, mindfulness and learning to trust oneself. The story of the wandering warrior studying the art of tea-making has been transplanted into a vibrant modern fantasy setting, but its roots in Eastern philosophy hold strong. It explores the impermanence of things in everyday life through the gameplay - nothing is permanent at Wanderstop and all the player earns for their efforts are experiences and memories, not resources or upgrades. The writing can be both poignant and hilarious, the vivid art direction makes great use of bright colors, and the soundtrack adds depth to every moment. (I especially liked the themes that accompanied the businessmen’s presentations.) It may not be the most groundbreaking or mind-blowing experience, but it does an excellent job of using its relaxing style of gameplay to tell a meaningful story about the concept of relaxation itself.
The story was simple but engaging with very addictive gameplay. I really became invested in some of the characters. The chapter endings, and even the game ending, leave events open to interpretation and leave you thinking of things long after it ends. Great game!

It's a cozy game. I enjoy discovering all the cool concoctions of tea.
One of my favorite games of all time, its amazing, \amazing music, and a very good narrative supported by the game play decisions by the devs team,. One of the best games where the game play supports the narrative, also beautiful visuals. Pne of those games I love but cant really replay
