Please please DO NOT use this workout! As a personal trainer and clinical exercise physiologist, I urge you to NOT use this game. The base moves are good workout moves that will get you results - but they should NOT be used in a VR like this! As you are technically blindfolded when doing these exercises, you have no way to control your form - which is the most important part of your workout. The game make you jump from laying down to standing up very fast, and it is straight up dangerous to follow these moves while blinded inside a headset. I am a HUGE fan of VR workouts and VR fitness - but this is NOT the way.
I know I'll get fitter playing this game. What the hell is a burpee? What is this one handed push-up nonsense? Squats I'm good with, running is fine, jumping without hands above my head is great. Punching the discs is fine. The points system is mad, I couldn't compete in a points table in this unless there's a dad-bod mode tiered system for middle-aged e-sport leagues. This game has taught me much about my fitness levels. 1) I'm not fit enough to complete 30 minutes inside this game with a high score. 2) it doesn't matter, because even if I do half of what the game is asking of me, I'm still moving and that's an improvement on sitting on my arse at the desk. VR fitness is amazing, and so is VRWorkout. I'm streaming my 30 minute sessions on Twitch live at 12noon GMT / 1pmBST in the summer or 1pm GMT in the winter time, and VRWorkout is a regular part of the cycle. The customisations of the routines, music and even in a relatively small play space is great. As long as I don't smash my head off the wall or ceiling and remember to orientate my burpee (seriously, wtf is a burpee, why do people invent these things? Don't people live in houses with low ceilings?) The graphics are perfect, like a 1980s gym in Tron, with hints and tips to keep you moving. Don't get put off, this will break a sweat if you push it. I'm sure even those who can do fifty push-ups a day for weeks on end will still be able to get a decent challenge on this. Definitely worth picking up, and even if you do just five minutes a day to get you started, you'll feel the benefit after the initial complaints from your body when you try, at speed, to merge a push-up with a squat and a jump.

AWESOME! Love that you guys did this and it works even for non Oculus Quest VR users (I have an Oculus RIFT S) since you can turn off certain workouts that would not work well with controllers (such as pushups). It is actually quite a challenging workout, but still fun. Great job guys! If you add some coop/multiplayer to this so people can workout together my fiance and I would pay for this for sure!!!!!
excellent! exactly in the direction I was looking for. Love everything about it - especially being open source!
This is better than it looks. Pretty crazy changing workouts in rapid succession and a bit hard to keep up with but that's what makes it fun.
5/5! Great improvements, new features, and updated songs, thank you! VALVE Index Users: 1) NO BURPIES! NO JUMPING, NO SHOES, SLOW TRANSITIONS B/W POSITIONS -- unless your cables are suspended from above. 2) Wear the controllers like wrist watches. 3) Wash/disinfect your face gasket regularly. Steam Support recommended warm water or 15-30% alcohol wipes. I've been playing this since it came out. I love this game so much that, even though I bent/broke my cable, Steam sent me a new cable and I still love this game!
Excellent full-body workout. I'm fat and old (230 lbs and 56 yrs). The workouts on easy level are doable for me. Best vr game I've found for an all-around workout.
Awesome workout game...it's also free and open-source! Got a Linux build up and running just fine.
VRWorkout is a free Early Access VR Rhythm fitness game. It worked on my HTC Vive and Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. You can add songs to it. You can choose the mix of exercises, it requires you to perform in a session. Has a detailed options section. Sort of like Beat Sabre. But this Steam version is not up to date, it says get updated version from the Occollus store. Try this, if you looking for a fitness workout game.
