The realism is astonishing, the attention to details, light effect.. really worth the price, can't wait to see more room in the futur !

VR Japan is a set of breathtaking experiences set in Japan. I keep going back to hang out in it, wander around, and meditate. I think it's a worthwhile addition to any VR experience library. I would love to see interactivity with the environment added, like being able to pick up objects like chopsticks or food.
Played on HTC Vive Pro/Vive Wand controllers/RTX2060Super. The first time it didn't load properly, I only got a few white curved lines, restarting didn't change a thing. A week later I tried it again, and it just started correctly. BUT I had to switch from my Index controllers back to my Vive wand controllers as the index controllers didn't work, the menu did pop up, but teleportation didn't work. It's a nice scene of japan, about 4 scenes, an alleyway with a restaurant, inside of a station, in side of a temple and the inside of a house with internal garden, all connected through doors. But it's just walking around, nothing to do. I got it over at Indiegala in a bundle called 'VR Zen Bundle' and as part of a 6 games bundle for $4.99 it's an ok experience. But for the 8,19 euro it is out of a sale I cannot recommend it. So my recommendation is only on the content, not on value for your money on regular price. If I had paid full price I would be annoyed and would have said that the developer could at least have made some extra interactions etc. If you can get it on sale for less than 1 euro/dollar it's ok, otherwise just wait until it's on sale. Edit: Now I found out this content was also sold on the unity asset store a year earlier, I've changed my recommend from Yes to No, as it's clearly just a showcase/demo for his/her assets. If he/she would have actually made any effort into creating something actually more than just loading his/her own contant into the UnrealEditor, I would change it back to Yes.
This VR experience is basically four beautifully done Japanese VR environments. That's the best that can be said about it. It's ONLY four environments and you can fully explore all four in a lot less than an hour. On top of that, while the environments are beautifully done the environments themselves are not. Two of them...well, I suppose they give you a feel for what the not-so-pretty parts of Japan look like and they might be a good thing as part of a more satisfying VR experience. The other two aren't bad but aren't that good either. There should have been some nicer environments in this experience.
Feels so real it's eerie!
Gorgeous.
町中や部屋の中を移動するだけのアプリですが、リアリティがあって楽しいです。
The Japan experience with 2% of the experience. Pre-covid, I got the chance to visit Tokyo, Japan, and got to see the wonderful sights there. It was so breath taking. So when I saw this game I really wanted to relive my experiences there. I REALLY wanted to enjoy this game. But I feel that so much was missing. I wanted to go down Nakano Broadway and visit the mall (like in Digimon Cybersleuth), walk down Akihabara and marvel at the large buildings and huge streets, I wanted to go down the alleys of Asakusa and see the crowded stalls, I wanted to go to the Tokyo Skytree and view the prefecture of Tokyo 2000 meters from the ground, I wanted to go to Odaiba and see Unicorn Gundam, I wanted to go to Roppongi Hills and see how the upperclass live. But the biggest thing missing from this game is the people that make it so lively. It feels like I'm walking down a ghost town or a prefab city already built with nary a person who lived there. It's a ghost town.
