I love it!
VR Giants, developed and published by Risa Interactive, is a cleverly designed asymmetrical co-op experience that demonstrates how virtual reality can meaningfully reshape cooperative gameplay. Rather than centering on solo immersion or competitive mechanics, the game builds its identity around teamwork between two dramatically different perspectives: one player inhabits a towering giant in VR, while the other controls a small, nimble character on a standard screen. This contrast in scale is not merely cosmetic—it drives every puzzle, movement challenge, and shared triumph throughout the adventure. At the heart of VR Giants is its asymmetrical structure. The VR player assumes the role of Goliath, a massive guardian who physically interacts with the world using motion controls. The second player, controlling David on a PC or console screen, navigates environments filled with hazards, switches, keys, and obstacles that often cannot be overcome alone. Goliath’s enormous hands can block flames, create bridges across gaps, or shield David from danger, but he cannot freely roam the world. Instead, he must be summoned forward through David’s progress, creating a dependency that fosters communication and coordination. The relationship between these two roles is where the game’s brilliance lies; success depends not on individual skill alone but on synchronized problem-solving and trust. The environments are thoughtfully constructed to emphasize scale and collaboration. Each biome introduces new visual themes and mechanical challenges, from icy landscapes with slippery platforms to fiery caverns requiring careful timing and protection. Hazards such as spikes, lava flows, and collapsing terrain demand that players experiment with positioning and strategy. For the VR player, physically reaching down to support a tiny companion or bracing against environmental threats reinforces the tactile immersion of being a colossal presence in a miniature world. For the non-VR player, navigating towering terrain while relying on the giant’s assistance creates a constant sense of vulnerability balanced by partnership. Puzzle design is a central strength. Many challenges encourage creative solutions rather than strict linear approaches. Timing, communication, and spatial awareness are key elements. For example, David may need to sprint across a gap while Goliath carefully steadies a hand to form a bridge, or activate a distant switch that unlocks new movement opportunities for both characters. These scenarios often result in memorable moments of triumph when coordination clicks into place. The cooperative framework turns even small victories—such as reaching a checkpoint or collecting a hidden coin—into shared celebrations. One of the most impressive aspects of VR Giants is how effectively it uses asymmetrical hardware to create a unified experience. By blending VR motion controls with traditional gamepad input, the game lowers the barrier for cooperative play. A friend without a VR headset can still fully participate, making it accessible for households or gatherings where only one player has VR equipment. This design choice broadens its appeal and reinforces the idea that VR can enhance shared play rather than isolate the player. Visually, the game embraces a charming, stylized aesthetic that complements its cooperative tone. The environments are colorful and distinct, with exaggerated proportions that emphasize the contrast between giant and miniature perspectives. Animations are expressive, and the scale difference remains consistently impactful, reminding players of their contrasting roles throughout each level. The sound design supports this atmosphere, with subtle environmental cues and playful audio feedback that underscore successful teamwork. As an Early Access title, VR Giants still shows areas for growth. Some levels may feel shorter than expected, and occasional trial-and-error moments can disrupt pacing. Online functionality is evolving, and while Remote Play Together offers a solution for some players, seamless cross-platform cooperative systems are still developing. Nevertheless, the foundation is strong, and the developer’s continued updates suggest ongoing refinement and expansion. Ultimately, VR Giants stands as a refreshing and innovative cooperative experience within the VR landscape. By building its entire gameplay loop around asymmetry and collaboration, it transforms the usual VR spectacle into something social and heartfelt. The contrast in scale is not just a gimmick but a mechanic that drives communication, laughter, and genuine partnership. For players seeking a VR experience that emphasizes teamwork over competition and creativity over complexity, VR Giants delivers a thoughtful and engaging adventure that showcases the unique potential of virtual reality as a shared medium. Игра не оправдала ожиданий. Слишком много летальных багов препятствующих игре. Фиолетовый экран, сломанный звук, сломанный звук микрофона из-за игры при запуске.
Unfortunately i had only very low fps, nothing what i could have changed in the settings and i can run easily games with way higher resolution so i have no idea what the problem is but its no fun
Cute game to play with your friends! :)
