great game would love too see more things added addictive
Not for me. This is just a grind for a grind, or for the collection if you like to call it that. bosses are boring, gameplay is way too basic. not enough variety of mutations to keep me engaged. all aspects are basic (do this activity, do it X times, get reward - get and upgrade - repeat) End goal? Complete all missions which look the same? No, thanks. Pick it if you like to grind same activities, Sorry collecting wierd stuff without any final goal.
Really fun take on the Creature Collector Genre, it is mission based but theres plenty to do. The only issue I had is once you max a Voidling which right now is level 20. They can win you through most missions. BUT there is so much customization and variation through the voidlings. I would come back for more content. You can splice them with exact everything you want, breed, train, evolve. So cool
game slaps, it feels like a roguelite without being one. my only complaint so far is that the art style doesn't really fit the tone of the game. very minor all things considered.
A Fun Mix of Spore and Digimon with Addictive Gameplay

The Good
• Feels like a mix between Spore and Digimon. Instead of only choosing evolutions, you actually get to play as your own Voidling, making progression much more engaging. • The gameplay loop is the star of the show. Experimenting with different evolution paths and creating synergies between abilities made every run feel rewarding. There are enough builds and evolutions to keep multiple runs feeling fresh. • The controls are responsive, and the game simply feels good to play. • The creature designs are unique, and the visuals are solid throughout. • The game offers a satisfying challenge without feeling unfair. • Progression feels rewarding for most of the game. Unlocking new evolutions and upgrades constantly gives you something to work toward. • At its current price, I think Voidling Bound is absolutely worth buying.
The Meh
• Level variety is decent, but I would have liked to see more unique environments and objectives. • The soundtrack is inconsistent. Some tracks are fantastic, while others are pretty forgettable. • Performance is acceptable, but the game could definitely use more optimization. It runs fine, but considering the visuals, I expected better performance. Ironically, games like Cyberpunk 2077 are better optimized on my system.
The Ugly
• There isn't much of a story. The gameplay carries the entire experience. Thankfully, it's strong enough that I never got bored, but a better narrative would have made the game even stronger. • My biggest complaint is the endgame progression. Farming Corrupted Cores for the final Voidling upgrades can become frustrating because there is currently no guaranteed way to obtain them. Adding a 100% reliable acquisition method would make the grind feel much fairer.
Final Thoughts
Voidling Bound is a fun and challenging creature-building roguelite with excellent gameplay, satisfying build variety, and strong replayability. If the developers improve the optimization, add more level variety, and make the endgame progression less reliant on RNG, this could easily become one of the best games in its genre. GO FOR IT!
Pretty cool. I imagine you can cook up lots of fun little guys in the endgame
It's crazy fun at first I got over 60 hours of enjoyment from it! Deep end game is so shallow though. Deep abyss runs require you to have a healing perk, and all the healing perks are so overpowered that the bullet hell elements become irrelevant. You don't need to dodge or block or worry about positioning, just make sure you output enough damage, sprint, or do something just as easy to out-heal everything. Anything that boosts damage also becomes irrelevant once level scaling kicks in and your attacks only do 1 damage. The only variable that matters is how often you are putting out instances of damage and the better you get at this the faster you tick things down 1 damage at a time. It's a slog. I don't think it's possible for there to be an interesting late game meta unless they really nerf healing and retool level scaling.
