Fun and simple retro-style game with a great science-fantasy retro-futurist Egyptology theme. Played this a few years back on my Android, glad to see it here because now I can play it on my laptop. Decent music, graphics that will take you back to NES, a fun story, and also an easy-to-learn yet challenging game. Fun!
TL;DR: For the low, low price of free, this is a must-try if you're at all into dungeon crawler RPGs.
The turn-based combat is extremely simple, with most battles only taking one turn - no slogs here. You can also increase your stats to have a chance of instantly ending battles; the only downside to this is that you don't get to see the sweet battle set and enemy art. Loss penalties are random, but not enough to be huge setbacks - in the early game, you simply don't have enough for a loss to matter much, and in the late game you can easily get any losses back. The most annoying part is, frankly, walking back to where you were originally, and the map is small enough that it's only a minor annoyance once you have some transport options. The story and worldbuilding are a very good medium of interesting and completely ignorable - you don't need to know what any of the key items you pick up are, only that they're treasure. You CAN consider how you got them and read their descriptions to know more, but it's not at all necessary to gameplay. Same with wall plaques, statues, NPCs - if you want to, you can bullrush thru the entire game knowing nothing other than "I want to escape or kill the pharoah for putting me in the void pyramid" and it doesn't hurt the gameplay at all. Or you can be like me and spend an extra 4 hours reading everything.

This game is amazing. Its aesthetic is very uncommon and might look ugly at first but it grows on you and gives it a very particular vibe. The music is excellent. The replayability value is very high. I come back to it once every few years.
I first played this game early 2017. I come back occasionally because it has remained in my memory due to it's unique atmosphere and experimental design. There are multiple endings but the game is pretty short. Void Pyramid is not for everyone, but if you enjoy hallucinogenic-style games, you will probably enjoy it. IMO the game should be at least $0.99
Fun atmosphere, cool concept
This and Ramble Planet (not on steam) were the first A. Hagen games i met and fell love into them. Both have a very retro feeling with an almost relaxing gameplay and funny and interesting stories, puzzles. They are all around well done games made for fun.
Insanely fun exploration, puzzles, and environmental storytelling. 10/10
