♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome game! I had been quite burnt out on rougelikes/lites for a whiles and this was the first in a longggggg time to peak my interest. Have you ever wanted to run around at mach 10 while throwing infinite cluster bomb grenades?? You can do that here! (Sidenote: This takes a bit of set up and mod luck.) Use a sword like Genji but better? You can do that here! Wanna turn your pistol into a single shot 360 no scope charged sniper rifle? You can do that! Genuinely this game has some of the most fun and unique mod mechanics ever. The story is surprisingly good for being a rougelike and I was genuinely shocked by some mild twists! Voice acting is well done and I find 1473 very akin to Johnny Silverhand from Cyberpunk. I do have some critiques though. The mods can feel a little samey and while there are a lot of cool mods there are also a lot of meh ones. Also telling the difference between optic mods is a pain the ass. Imo the fast movement can be a little clunky sometimes. I will be bunnyhopping into slides and lose all my momentum for seemingly no reason? Could be a skill issue but who knows. If you drop down a boss elevator and forget to grab your rewards you just lose them for that run. Would be nice to have say a grapple point at the top of the drop downs for those cases.
Genuinely crazy game. The environmental destruction adds a ton to combat, it never gets old breaking through windows with a horde chasing you and then blowing up the roof to topple the building on them. The ability management reminds me of (surprisingly) Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days for the DS, where the strength of your abilities is dictated by how you arrange them on a grid. Instead of determining RPG stats, though, it's more like Risk of Rain style item stacking in this one, and much like those games it lets you break the systems wide open if you know what you're looking for. The movement is very much heavily inspired by Titanfall 2, but unlike a lot of other titles they manage to do it right. The weighty double jump that carries all your speed is very much appreciated. But more than all of that, I think the biggest thing that motivated me to make this review was the way the narrative blends into the gameplay. Narratives in rougelikes can be very hit or miss, and while I don't know if this exactly the same level of compelling character writing as something like Hades 1, it actually has things that I would consider spoilers that directly impact gameplay (unlike most rougelites where you can straight up say the whole plot and it doesn't really matter for the experience). With that said I cannot say more, but trust me when I say if it doesn't hook you when you first boot it up, it definitely will later.
Very fun game. Haven't have much chance to play it extensively, but the physics alone have been a great time to play around with. Being able to use the destructive environments to your advantage to actually stun and/or damage your enemies has been a very fun mechanic that you don't see much in games. Games will incorporate destructive environments, but not make it so it actually causes damage like real like physics would suggest. This game does! If you crumble a concrete ceiling on someone, they are gonna feel it! Very fun, fast paced, roguelite shooter that runs very smooth and looks great. Definitely recommend if you enjoy the genre!
破坏值得称赞。手感也可以。但,重复性高。枪械只能用一把,希望后续更新可以带2把武器,优化一下模块搭配效果,有些过于鸡肋凑格子。
Oh boy. This is shaping up to become one of the best roguelikes in history. Excellent gunplay, beautiful graphics, fluid movement, lots of synergy. I'm liking it! Gives me very strong Marathon vibes in presentation. My only request is to be able to move the HUD elements inwards. On a 32:9 (like the Neo G9) this is not ideal.
Hell yeah I would recommend this game. The movement is great, the gun fire is responsive and the single dev showers us with new updates. It's not even all fully here and in the current state it is well worth the price. I am pumped to continue to play this game., to try out the new cool toys that await me
good game BUT: the basic game is really good and well made. BUT its still early access the progression system outside the runs isnt there yet / by far not enough. so it feels like a shell of a game atm with great potential. (it needs some mechanics outside the runs to advance your builds/character infinitly. maybe also a kind of a pre-build for your weapons with mods before/outside runs. this would give it a replayability and a AAA-Feel to it.) it has a good developer - so high hopes that it will get where it belongs.
