Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 4 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

To the point ======================= An extremely traditional JRPG with zero surprises. A strong first half and an abysmal finish. Great on sale but for fans of the genre only! +Cleared on Hard+ Good Stuff ========================= - The Spirit vessels add a fun element to the tried and true JRPG formula, giving you some extra buttons to pop during combat that are actually useful with a short enough cooldown to keep them fun without being overpowered. - The party AI, shockingly, is really good 90% of the time and they'll dodge things and support you pretty skillfully. They still do get instakilled by silly attacks every now and then but I'll take what I can get. - If you like the game, there's tons to do. I clocked in under 40 hours and there was a mountain of sidequests and even an extra post game chapter, I was just done with the game personally. Bad Stuff ===================== -The main story has been told about 1000 times before with no twists or surprises. I know the Mana series isn't known for innovative story telling but my god Square, try anything different. - The class system, revamped from the previous games, loses a lot of luster with classes being switchable on the fly and not unlocking all of them until WELL past the halfway point of the story, seemed like a pointless change to force you to stick with the earlier classes. They all feel incredibly similar with nothing unique about them aside from minor stat differences - No class evolutions, has been a staple of the mana series. Once you unlock a class it's the same for the rest of the game. - The second half of the game was truly bad. A sinful amount of backtracking and some of the longest and most boring straight lines disguised as dungeons you'll ever see. The best part of this? The final dungeon is all the previous dungeons stapled together... IN REVERSE!! Wow, so damn innovative and not boring at all. - If you don't want one of the most braindead button mashers, you'll need to play on Hard. Normal is so comically easy you'll have trouble staying awake. Hard is not well balanced however, and you'll mostly be getting one or two shot but hey at least you're paying attention. - There's very little point to level grinding as the game auto scales the next dungeon to be 1-2 levels higher then you. While I can almost understand this, it makes any extra effort seem pointless. - Side quests offer virtually nothing, just some occasionally useful items or money but no experience. - All the relics you get in game have overworld movement mechanics tied to them and BOY are they insanely slow. Bubbles from the water relic? Slow as ♥♥♥♥. Moving golems with the earth relic? Better believe it's going to take a month. The friggin plant relic growing vines? Look up a youtube vid since it may be slower then osmosis. Ok, the fire one IS pretty fast -Cutscenes pop-up like they're going out of style, everything has a cutscene and they seemingly occur every 15 feet or so. - This suffers from the JRPG trope of 1. Get a cutscene and a quest 2. Go outside and do quest 3. Go back to quest giver 4 Have to go to the same spot outside again for some contrived reason 5 Go back to the original quest giver AGAIN It gets old fast

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Visions of Mana presents a bright storybook world overshadowed by a hint of melancholy. This turned out to be prescient design as the release of this game was completely overshadowed by the controversy of Netease pulling funding from its non-Chinese studios. In-turn this lead to the untimely shuttering of developer Ouka Studios before it even had a chance to make a name for itself. So, as hinted just above, this game is quite a looker. Considering this is, shall we say, a double-A game it is quite stunning to look at. Colors are vibrant and pop with contrast. Environments have their own visually distinct biomes. The draw distance is pretty far. And for all that it performs very well. Have no fear of the Unreal logo here; this is Unreal Engine 4 and seemed well optimized to me granting a stable 120fps on my 7800x3d/7900xt pairing at 4K with FSR enabled. I also had no issues with the Steam Deck pulling between 30-40fps on appropriately lowered settings. As for stability, I played through all major game content including post-game chapter and superboss over the course of 43 hours and experienced only one crash in the course of my playthrough. While it was repeatable for me it was also easily enough avoidable. On the audio front the music is excellent and for me ranks among some of the best the Mana series has to offer. The English VA is, unfortunately, mediocre at best and fully leans into tired tropes like Careena having a southern accent because she speaks roughly in JP. Lazier still they didn't bother affecting the same for anyone else in her village and it's hard not to notice. The JP voices, which I strongly recommend, are just fine though I'm hardly an expert and only understand about half of what they're saying. The localization itself is fine: i.e. Palamena speaks in rather stuffy phraseology in EN which feels like a perfectly fine reflection of how she always speaks keigo in JP. There were no instances of overtly anachronistic or otherwise out of place dialog that I was able to catch. If you're a long time Mana series fan there's a boatload of elements that will make you feel right at home, such as the 8 elementals and a raft of familiar enemies both mob and boss, the dancing merchant guys, or enemies exploding into a pile of bones on death. Lil' Cactus is back with journal entries, if you can find him, and provides some good rewards for finding him. There's plenty of other familiar faces around and I won't spoil them all as they all put a smile on my face when I encountered them. It's a real love letter in many ways to the Mana games of the past, and not in a pandering way but neatly integrated into this new world. The basic plot and gameplay are fairly tied together: Essentially the party consists of people chosen by the powers that be to represent one of each of the 8 elements. They are to journey to the Tree of Mana where their essence is to be absorbed to restabilize the flow of things and prevent catastrophe. Suffice to say not all goes to plan and the party is thrown into turmoil after tragedy strikes. I won't spoil it but it does get quite dark at times, at least as far as this series goes, and delves into some themes we haven't seen in Mana before. Make no mistake, this is no Clair Obscur or Planescape: Torment, etc., but it is definitely serviceable to keep you motivated to push forward and I couldn't help but feel a bit misty at the post-credits finale. At the very start of the game combat is extremely basic. However as you journey you will acquire elemental vessels that unlock classes for each party member. This in turn opens an "elemental plot" where you can spend points to customize your troops with new moves and passive abilities. The further you get in the game, and coupled with the addition of ability seeds to further flesh out your toolkit, combat becomes quite fun as you seek out synergies that suit your play style, or just outright break the game if that's your cup of tea. When you finally fully upgrade your elemental plot it opens up the capacity to make your own custom class which can be even more broken still. Add to that a plethora of combos, launchers, spike downs, and wall splats and it adds up to some really good fun. On top of more standard battling there are at least a couple of boss fights that are legimiately amazing set-pieces and I kind of wish there had been more of those. The side quests, however, are junk. Useful solely for padding your wallet if you need a few extra bucks to buy some new equipment but they are nearly all dreary scut-work. Go-here-kill-X, go-there-find-Y. Late-game there are a couple that grant some high-tier weapons, and a few for interesting ability seeds so stick to those if you don't want to go crazy completionist here. It feels like there's about 1,000 of the filler variety. Fortunately for the achievement hunters I did read there is none for completing them all. So just as the in-game world is marred by tragedy, the real-world tragedy here is that this is likely to be the very last Mana game ever. It had already taken 18 years since the last mainline entry until the Collection of Mana and Trials of Mana remake made enough splash to garner this new entry, only for it to wind up stillborn due to the machinations of corporate politics. Indeed, the overall "mixed" rating is in large part due to just that on release. This is a genuinely good game, bordering on great at times, and deserved to be loved. I know I did. And I can understand not wanting to spend money to support a studio that no longer exists, but maybe throw this on your wishlist and keep an eye out for a steep discount. Maybe you'll end up loving it too. A bittersweet finale to one of my favorite game series of all time. Important final note: Strongly recommend not playing the demo. I was so put off by it I almost didn't give the full game a chance. There's just something really off about how it dumps you in without the time to ramp up to the point of the game that it's at. And since it is at a later point there's no save carry-over so you're just wasting time unless you want to use it as a benchmark for your system.

I bought this thinking it would be like 'trials of mana', but it was not even close. The characters you don't feel anything for and the system feels like you are collecting things just... to collect things, like there is no real purpose behind it, just seems like busy work and not 'fun'. I think they are forgetting what makes these games 'fun' in the first place. The graphics and game also are very buggy and crash a lot.
Not worth the price, nor the time I spent playing it. Waste of money. Traversal is janky, and they put invisible walls on places that don't seem important. Since dash/dodging is not usable in cities, you can get stuck in awkward places if you try to squeeze into them too much and be unable to escape except by using fast travel. The cities are hollow and are more like theme parks rather than story settings. City NPCs mostly don't move aside from the dancing storekeeps. There are no side activities whatsoever that you can have fun with. The BGM is bland and unrememberable. Landscapes have nothing to explore. They mark all the chests in your minimap. No puzzles, no goodies hidden in places you can only unlock at a later time. And certain areas you are being blocked off from by enemies with a higher level. Generally bad design. You're generally discouraged from exploring by it being unrewarding. Combat is janky as well. You can lock onto an enemy but the camera wouldn't really pan unless they're out of sight. Range of attacks of characters are also narrow, this combined with the janky combat camera makes it hard to hit flying enemies. There are no weapon skills. There's magic but it's slow, and the effects are unremarkable. There are multiple classes per character but if two classes are using the same weapon, they play out the same, even the class strike has only one animation. Skills that need "stagger", stopping attack before pressing attack again, need you to stop attacking for longer than what you'd normally expect. The story is too straightforward, predictable, and boring. It's the weakest aspect of this game. Some of the stuff that happened remained unexplained even. I've seen better writing on afternoon TV soap operas. Side quests are point A to point B, or just fighting some monsters.
