About
The visionary journey continues! Visionarium 2 The Descent is a follow up VR experience by multimedia artist and solo indie developer Sander Bos.
In Visionarium 2, you will descend into the dystopian crevices of our times. This audio-visualizer features an archetypal underworld experience, inviting the journeyer to surrender to the darkness as a way to break through and enter visionary states.
Most of the artwork is painted in Tiltbrush and other VR creation tools, trying to make the most out of VR as a new artform.
Like in the first version, the experience includes a fixed soundtrack by various musicians and the possibility to add your own music of preference.
Featuring music tracks from Treeboga, Kaminanda and Dreamstate Logic

Reviews
Although I've played a number of visually gorgeous games, Visionarium 2 still has some original visually beautiful moments showing how much potential the VR medium still has and how much new it could bring to big-budget games.
Made with the MS Paint of VR which makes it a very impressive feat
It is a great psychedelic experience. Thank you.
Very nice

This is a nice thing. A lot of thought has clearly gone into creating a range of different experiences and I enjoyed my 30 mins with it, having bought it on heavy discount. But I won't be going back in, for a couple of reasons: 1. The visuals are fun, but you can't skip to a scene you particularly like. So to get to some of my favourites near the end, I have to fast forward for a couple of minutes. Not so fun. And I can't rewind to relive parts again. 2. When I turn on background music it does seem to respond to it, but not particularly clearly. The whole vibe is 100% aligned to 1990s Future Sound of London and it would have been completely at home being projected on a big screen at one of their gigs. But I need to see the whole screen throbbing to the beat in order to make the experience land. The soundtrack is great though. Perfectly suited to the visuals. And my Pico 4 controllers worked as they should, so I could draw in the sky with a range of different effects. It's clearly a labour of love and well worth a go on discount, but too expensive at full price, for me. I look forward to seeing what Visionarium 3 might bring.
Worked well with an Oculus Rift CV1. Meh, not for me. I knew going in that it was going to be a visualizer but it got boring halfway through. I appreciate some of the music and some of the visuals, but it fell flat most of the time. It does what it says on the tin, though. If you like what you see on the store, it's what you'll get.
A nice colorful and visually interesting journey. Definitely mind expanding and eye catching. Can't wait for Visionarium 3!
