Virtual Desktop is an application developed for the Oculus Rift / Rift S, HTC Vive, Valve Index and WMR headsets that lets you use your computer in VR. This app is NOT for the Oculus Quest or Pico headsets. You can browse the web, watch movies, Netflix or even play games on a giant virtual screen.

Do not bother with the steam version. When people say VD is an essential vr app they are referring to the standalone version, which is great. The steam version is abandoned (last update 2022) and missing basic features like the ability to have more than one window open at a time.

Fantastic software that makes it possible to complete project workload while in VR; the problem is that the Steam version is functionally abandoned, with the full version packed with more current features being locked to proprietary stores like Meta and Vive. We desperately need the full version to be released to Steam so users like me with a non Vie/Quest/Pico device can use the complete software. EDIT: I am hoping that the recent confirmation of the long awaited Valve Deckard/Steamframe will light a fire under the devs ass to push current builds of the app to Steam! I love using it for late night workflow and video watching/browsing on my PSVR2, would love to get a hold of the updated features the other platforms have had for years now ASAP! (will change to positive once we do!)
I've had VD since it was a free beta, then bought on both Steam and now Quest. Best piece of VR software made. Note that if you're using a Quest, you need the version from the Quest store. But... you people can't read anyway, can you? :/
Despite saying it's "Not for Quest", I use it on my Quest all the time, and it works great. I should mention I don't use wireless, don't care to use wireless.
good software but its missing features from the standalone versions like some scenes and multi monitor placement and the dev calls it "feature complete" when it shouldnt be
Built in desktop function on steamvr is good enough now that this isn't necessary
как оказалось в стиме приложение старой версии, а так же не подключает шлем пико нео 3
