I wishlisted this game due to tiktok because I thought it would be a great way to show what little girls go through sometimes and it's a decent game but not a great one. slight delay on key inputs and unclear instructions on what to do in certain levels. I did get this as a gift from a friend and I appreciate them buying it for me. however I wish I didn't wish this.
This is a really great game with a wonderful story. I think theres things to be fixed and tampered with but overall its worth the play. Pros: -Sad but true premise that shows the reality for women and some men in this world. -pretty fun gameplay. -lots of thought out ideas put in this game. -really interesting concepts. Cons: -Still quite buggy -certain aspects (scene in "church" area, forest flashlight scene with a bunch of giant spiders) that don't really make sense for the premise of the game. -those parts that don't make sense to be included are also the hardest which makes it really frustrating to get through. -pretty short, i wish there was more included for what life can be like for a young girl. -most of the concepts are really repetitive which fills up space where other ideas could be. overall, im pretty impressed considering this kind of just started as an idea on tiktok that came to fruition and it is enjoyable. i think theres room for improvement but this is a really great foundation for a game that can be truly inspiring for many to want to make the world a better and safer place.
Challenging in some parts but I managed. I had an issue when I connected a ps4 controller. It showed I had to press square for a specific action but the action only happened if I pressed triangle. I don't know if that was a game issue or if it was from me. Sometimes the jump and shot button delayed. Story mirrored real life issues perfectly. Easy to play once you get the hang of it
This is at a flash game level. You probably want to see the tiktok thing yourself? Watch a playthrough, it's really not that much and you won't be bothered with all the unintentional bugs. Here is a list of them: you can boost yourself at the start of levels or during pause screen, hitboxes are boxes or circles, ground detection is lose, light is on the wrong layer. This game is also missing a proper design philosophy. Changes are suddle but break the flow, like it's missing a proper manual. To be honest, I don't get the story. It is kind of convoluted and broken up, but also implies to be meaningful.
"Stranger danger was the most destructive force in child safety"
I remember this game when it first started as an idea on tiktok and was waiting for it to finally become a game. I was beyond excited when I had heard it was on Steam and available. I started playing it and expected to have a few features I was looking forward to only to be disappointed. I couldn't hug any of the characters (A main feature I was looking forward to) and having some events seemingly taken out. I don't know if there was a video that talked about these features being removed but it made me really upset. Another thing that made me unhappy with this game were the constant obstacles. Most of them felt extremely pointless like one where a guy is shooting at you while you also have to jump over spikes that came up without warning. I really hope to see updates with this game in the future that can fix up a few things. I understand making a game is hard but you also have to realize the support you had along the way. If you take away what your supporters wanted to look forward to that just seems like you never thought about what they wanted. I really hope this doesn't come off as mean or rude in anyway I just wanted to give my thoughts on this game because I was kinda there from the start.
Ok so I orignally said that I didn't really like this game but now I love it so much the graphics with the animations aren't the best but the story is beautiful. The instructions helped a bunch (thanks for implementing it lmao). The only issues I have as of right now well more of tid bits is that 1. When you are on a boat you should move with the boat 2. With the church segment it is extremly annoying. I kinda cheesed it by jumping over the enemies lol. But overall this product is 100% a 7-8 out of ten, I would give it a 10/10 with some better animation/gameplay but the story is a 9/10 it would be better if you were more attached to willow. Mind you this is coming from a man not a woman so take that as you will.
I enjoyed playing this game! The graphics are nice and simple, the controls wasn't too wonky for me, and it wasn't too difficult for me to finish the game. I liked the story and plan on replaying it sometime.
only through the containment of consumerism can one expierience true intoxication
