i remember seeing the developer on tiktok around a year or so ago when they were still testing out mechanics and making it a mobile game. i played it a couple days ago and i see where they were going for with the story. as a woman myself i related a lot to the running away scenes and the mom telling willow to change her clothes because her uncle was coming over (which i think is stupid). the story i give a solid 9/10, the gameplay however is where i beg to differ. i think the on/off button should be the same (thats just a personal opinion i guess). and also there were some glitches i noticed like in the church section and the alleyway section. i would stab the "hims" in the church or run into a bag (that had already fallen) and still die. gameplay was like a 5/10 tbh. overall i do think this is a wonderful game and i enjoyed it, however i was just heavily annoyed by the mechanics. overall i do recommend the game its a solid 8/10 as a whole.
A lot of comments complain about trial and error, but it's honestly what makes this a game instead of just a kinetic novel. The game is a representation of the real-life issues girls face in the world on their own, and you don't get redos in real life. I'm honestly surprised gamers are mad about having to repeat a level because they didn't stand in the right spot or follow some exact instructions. That's literally how many action games and platformers work; it's what makes them fun. This is a great game, and it only takes about an hour to get through. I enjoyed the different levels and the storyline, as someone who knows about these issues and the bs people say about them fairly well.
So yes, I came here from TikTok. I liked the concept of the game. I liked all of the sweet little clips on tikok. BUT. I couldn't save and I have to ask: Is this game even finished? The story just fell flat for a subject that should be handled with more care. I really want to like this game but let me address a few of your "features" -Fluid and responsive action. Lol, no. There is often a lag in the controls. -Explore a vast, connected town. Majority of the game you just head east. -Speak with and assist a cast of bizarre characters. Where do you assist a "cast of bizarre characters"? You can listen in on 2 sentence conversations. The only interesting character is the woman who helps Willow out a few times, and honestly I'm pretty offended her most unique features are Z cup tibbies and a bouncy butt that threatens to violently sever from it's host every time she takes a step. -Find powerful new abilities. You mean when my hallucination handed me a butter knife? Look, if it's not finished I'll probably change my review once there is more content. But as of RIGHT NOW. January 17th 2024. There is no SOUL in this game. This product feels very insincere and due to the subject of this game, it's not a good look.
I've seen this game on tiktok now and again, and it finally released! HOLY CRAP, it's soooooo goood!!!! :D
this is a cool game. not enough indications on what to do, what any of the things mean, so on and so forth. There are a large amount of bugs concerning the threats, and some parts, (which are practically cutscenes) require you to stand in specific spots to survive. most of this game is trial and error, which isnt very good.
i followed this game for a long time when it was in the making, thought it would be a cool game, the concept is really cool, but the controls are weird, theres no explenation to the controls, and its not that type of game that lets you figure them out yourself, the game is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dark like half of the time i dont even know what im doing because i physically cant see even when my screen is on max light. the cutscenes dont make any sense, i wish there were more things the player could interact with, more choices to make ect. the game is overall broken and poorly made it was such a disappointment. half the times i get stuck meaning i gotta quit and then come back multiple times. i think the game needs defo more development. everypne is saying its good because of the concept which i agree the concept is awesome but a lot of people in the reviews forget to review it as a game in a whole not just a concept.
It is an interesting dark game that shows the real fear of every girl. what got me the most were words like: "wear a longer skirt because boys are boys" or "don't be hysterical it was just a kiss" or ,,how feminism destroys men’’ and other horrible things like a stranger taking pictures of you or stalking you. But the darkest part was probably the ending with the dad, I didn't expect that
I never knew that I would be playing a game that I randomly came across on Reddit after midnight just a month before it was gonna be released. So, what do I think about it? Firstly, I would like to say that this game isn't going to be for everyone, especially those that are not used to platforming games, as some mechanics like jumping and melee could be quite stiff and challenging for some to get used to. Maybe, if there was a difficulty mode for players to choose beforehand to make it easier for them to play the game. Furthermore, this game is quite short as I manage to complete this game all in one go, (even though I was planning to play it for a couple of minutes). Even with these 'flaws', I still enjoy this game from the subject it’s discussed, to introducing new mechanics in each level (my favourite being the pepper spray) as well as being in the shoes of what people may have to go through which is still sad to be reminded about it, but important to so we can look out for each other when we’re not staring at the screen. I hope we see more coming soon from this developer, as they seem to have a lot of passion and potential to highlight other subjects or stories to bring to the forefront so we can all learn, discuss and be better for one another from.
First off, let me say this is one of the best games i have played this year. After reading the comments i was having a bad feeling that the game may not deliver, but when i played it, i saw lots of new things, it seems that the developer listened to some reviews and fixed them because my playing experience was different from what i saw in the comments. For the review I saw complaints of people saying the "spider" and "church" scene was useless or pointless but when i played, i saw it as part of the game. In the "spider" scene you always have to keep turning your back and turning on your flashlight because there is a spider that keeps chasing you from behind but dies when you point the flash light at it. I saw this as the developer trying to show anxiety that women have to go through and always looking around especially in the night. Lovely and vibrant game, with some of the best musics i have heard in a game, some levels were a bit frustrating but you get so much relief after completing them. I recommend this game to all game lovers! My final rating is 9/10
