Violet Bricks

Простенький арканоид с приятной графикой и очень хорошим восьмибитным саундтреком, правда не все мелодии подходят к игре, но звучит хорошо. Вся игра проходится где то за час, плюсом выбиваются все достижения.

[b]violet bricks[/b] is a really amateurish and basic attempt at breakout. [b]24 levels[/b] unlocked one by one, replayable individually, great. the 90s/00s aesthetic is there on the levels but menus and everything else just looks messy. the music is pretty good but it's [b]not fun to play[/b] and has close to zero polish. surprisingly, there's windowed mode, the only setting in the main menu. info about gameplay elements is only available in the pause menu while playing, and there's a single volume slider and a few gfx toggles, only while playing, but not in the pause menu. the slider only affects music, not the really loud sfx, and gfx toggles reset between levels. [b]mouse-only controls[/b], no mention of controller on the store page, haven't tried it. [b]no keyboard support whatsoever[/b] and the mouse moves the paddle, so if you want to adjust volumes or just pause the game, you're risking losing a life in the process. also, the mouse cursor is visible all the time, very distracting. [b]no score, leaderboards or anything[/b], which I'm fine with (the number on the side is the framerate, can't be turned off), but there's nothing to play for. slowly clear a level, next, that's it. also, balls just go through each other if they meet. there's only a retry and next level button on the level complete screen, but the latter goes back to level select where you have to choose the next level yourself. it should load the next level as advertised and there should be a separate 'back to level select' button. also, the back button on the credits screen doesn't work, had to alt+f4. there are a lot better (though for other reasons still not necessarily recommendable) breakouts available, pass on this.

I really like this type of game. Reminds me of the games I played as a kid on my first computer. It has a 2000s gaming aesthetics.

An enjoyable game with a nostalgic aesthetic and simple gameplay. It's perfect for relaxing and refreshing your brain after or during a stressful day.

Básicamente es un juego como el famoso Arkanoid, pero con un toque más moderno. Puedes terminar los niveles bastante rápido y sus controles son muy sencillos: mueves la pala con el ratón y le das clic para empezar a mover la bola. La selección de "complementos" o extras que vas obteniendo a lo largo de los niveles también es muy interesante y pueden ser muy útiles. Ojalá tuviese más niveles, pero no está mal para pasártelo en menos de dos horas. Recomiendo este juego si buscas entretenerte como en un arcade de la vieja escuela a un módico precio si lo encuentras rebajado.
