If you like the Vertigo look and feel, but you want a lot more action and shooting, then you'll love this game. The screenshots don't do the game justice, trust me. Highly recommended for everyone who loves FPS in VR!
Shovelware
Dafür dass es nur ein Standard-VR-Shooter ist und er absolut nichts Innovatives bietet, ist der Preis von 15€ zu hoch. Zudem scheint es auch keine Updates mehr zu geben. Es gibt bessere Alternativen! It's pretty fun. Not a lot of guidance, so you have to figure a lot of the controls out (point your gun down to reload, you have swords on your back you can grab). I haven't gotten motion sick in VR for awhile though, but this game made me sick after about 30 minutes of playing.
I thought arm swinging locomotion would be fun, but I move A LOT slower in-game than I do IRL, so it isn't. I could deal with that, but for it to register a sword swing as a headshot is a crap shoot. It simply doesn't work, they can have their head bowed to you, and you swing down, and miss. Lol, how does that make sense when it's the only target? Then on top of all this, while climbing you have to go VERY slowly or you'll be launched across the map. So in this VR game I'm: - Slower than I am IRL - Weaker than I am IRL (and I'm a tiny 110lbs person...) - Smashing somebody in the head with a sword has a ~25% of a headshot Where's the fun in this? When locomotion was trash, I decided to use swords, swords don't work either. What's the point of this game? I seriously regret my purchase. My strategy isn't complicated, run at them while dodging shots, swing at head for a 1-hit kill, however because it usually don't register the 1-hit kill, I instead have to flail around and hope it does. On top of this, on the first mission I was supposed to shoot to destroy something, I emptied 2 clips into it, ran out of ammo and had to start over. Because of all the above issues, I won't, I'm done with this game until maybe some bugfixes come out. I almost forgot there's also a bug for even just equipping your swords, I have to spend 2 minutes each time trying to get it to register the grab. This doesn't happen on any other game. Very disappointed for a game I only had medium hopes for. Edit: Almost forgot to mention that having your head decide where you go is just asking for neck strain. I hate it, I can't do the majority of tactics I want to do (IE: Dodge and run) because I literally have to look where I'm going at all times.
No snap turning support on Oculus Rift ruins an otherwise fun game.
Really really fun. polished and satifsying old school shooter. I particularly like the locomotion system where you swing your arms to move in the direction the controllers are pointing. Update: If you're an Oculus user and are having judder when moving then set compatibility to win 7 to force openvr, and then it's double tap grip to drop or holster weapons. Thanks for helping me out devs!
VINDICTA is an incredibly fun FPS that is a serious contender for best VR game I've plated so far. I was pleasantly surprised by how polished the game looks despite still being in Early Access, the graphics are great. I really appreciate that there are various options for movement (swinging your arms or using the trackpad). Combat feels fluid and it's very easy to get used to the mechanics, even for someone who (like me) doesn't usually play FPSs. I did run into some issues (most notably, the world appears much bigger than it should and I can barely reach keyholes - I was able to work around this by changing height via OpenVR Advanced Settings), but after contacting the developers it's evident that they're actively working hard on improving the game. Overall, I definitely recommend this game even in its current state, and I believe it will get much better in the future.
Fun game, but it's sadly abandoned by the devs, last update being in 2017.
I can't recommend this game in its current form. I'll start by saying, I'm playing on Oculus but I've read ppl having the same issues with Vive too. The game starts...and you're in the tutorial.. ok.. lets shoot and reload your gun.. simple enough right? Now.. let's holster the gun. Nope... try again.. ummm nope.. and after 10 minutes of restarting the game and having the same exact issue.. I simply played something else. This game has been out for some time now..and if they can't even get players out of the tutorial.. it isn't worth the purchase.
