About
Vindefiant is a pixel-art adventure game where players take on the role of Alyx, a corprate employee who unexpectedly grows supernatural powers. Disgruntled having been fired from his job, Alyx unleashes his powers and sparks a path of rage and destruction to get revenge on his former employer. Anyone who happens to cross his path will meet a gruesome end. In Vindefiant, you are the bad guy.

In your journey for vengeance, you will need to traverse through various environments, including an office building, streets, and sewers. Use your villainous powers to quickly cause havoc. Your tendrils can be used to grab objects to hurtle towards enemies, throw enemies through windows, into ventilation fans, smash open doors, tear apart turrets, and much more.

As you explore your powers you'll unlock new abilities, giving you greater options to create as much destruction and death as possible. Alyx is determined to get his revenge for losing his job, and you choose exactly how he’ll get there. But at what cost?

Although I'm not adept as some I'm spending a lot of time on this game and having good fun. It's challenging, exciting and I love all the different objects that can be picked up along with the movement of the character. My experience with 1 or 2 past bosses also adds to the attraction!
Vindefiant is like 2D pixelated Prototype! I played it and loved it! The graphics are great but i did have some trouble getting passed some parts 9/10
4/10
Unnessisarrily difficult, & confusing puzzles. I'd say it's impossible to beat unless you already know what you're doing, or have a guide; & even if you have a guide, at least half of the puzzles are movement based; & the movement is slippery, I feel like butter on a hot pan. It's incredibly frustrating to have to try the same thing over & over & over because that's actually the only way solve/get pass the puzzle/spike maze The combat is bearable . you just sorta thow people around, or people at things. There is an ability where if you're holding someone you can instantly kill them, but that's pretty much it. Throwing things around corners is impossible because your tendril will retract if it's not in your line of sight. I don't like the story, but I also stopped paying attention to it at some point because I was frustrated, & just wanted it to be over. I can't find a justfication to play this other than I spent money on it; there's no saving grace in my opinion, nothing's fun enough to keep me coming back. I don't like the puzzles, I don't like the movement/mazes/movement trials, I don't like the story, & I tolerate the combat. Granted, I'm frustrated; so I'm being rude here. I'd love to see more like this, but there's a lot of room for improving. Also, I'm not very smart. & that fact may effect my ability to enjoy puzzles & the sort; so maybe I don't have lots of room to complain about puzzles

Если не принимать в расчет некоторую корявость управления, для одноразового прохождения сойдет (особенно если вы любите играть за злодеев и уничтожать все вокруг). Но контента мало, а некоторые уровни скучноватые, с душным платформингом.
[COPY RECEIVED FROM KEYMAILER] The Celeste and Carrion inspiration is evident, so I'll make that comparison right away. Decently challenging at some points, with some areas of the game being perhaps a little bit frustrating, but nothing impossible to handle. I'd be curious to see some extra levels added where you play without the powers, as those sections had some decently fun controls as well. Only problems I really had were that there was never a concrete explanation for the origins of your powers (super minor detail, but I did wonder) and that some areas of the game had the camera move in a very nauseating movement, like it wasn't sure which screen it was supposed to be on (this got me killed a few times, but I did eventually beat those sections). Overall, Vindefiant is a fun little game that is not easy to breeze through but also won't make you smash your controller in frustration. If it looks interesting to you, or you liked either Celeste or Carrion, it is worth checking out!
Very cool game. Reminds me of The Darkness but pixelated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKW-hv59XfM Steam Recommendations YouTube TikTok
It's fun to be the villain.
Very enjoyable, yet challenging platformer! Gives me Celeste vibes for sure Story is great, too Some parts were a bit... tricky for some jumps but all in all it was fun :)
