As the sun and moon tumble and Fenrir threatens to devour them, the Vikings must journey across the realms to forge a magical chain that can trap him. But the journey will not be easy. (Developer) The story is more for Viking fans. The game as such is for everyone, big or small. Here you can collect, clear blockages and build as much as you can. Also a little puzzling. It took me 13 hours to complete the 60 levels and the mini-games. This game shows how it's done, completely hassle-free fun, on good cards and very, very varied. Good graphics, in the style of the old hand-drawn games and gameplay that is much better than most of these games. And I know what I'm talking about, I've played and reviewed almost all of them that are available on Steam. Clear fun recommendation. Während Sonne und Mond taumeln und Fenrir sie zu verschlingen droht, müssen die Wikinger durch die Reiche reisen, um eine magische Kette zu schmieden, die ihn einfangen kann. Doch die Reise wird nicht einfach sein. (Entwickler) Die Geschichte ist eher was für Viking Fans. Das Spiel als solches für jeden, ob groß oder klein. Hier kannst du Sammeln, Blockaden Räumen und Bauen was das Zeug hält. Auch ein wenig Knobeln. 13 Stunden hab ich für die 60 Level und die Minispiele gebraucht. Dieses Game zeigt wie es geht, völlig stessfreier Spass, auf guten Karten und sehr, sehr Abwechselungsreich. Gute Grafik, nach Art der alten handgezeichneten Spiele und ein Gameplay das viel besser ist, als bei den meisten dieser Games. Und ich weiß wo von ich spreche, ich hab fast alle gespielt und berwertet die es gibt auf Steam. Klare Spaßempfehlung. Auch sehr schön! Ein weiterer Teil der Serie, die mir äußerst gut gefällt. Grafik, Sound, Story, Spielmechanik, Stabilität, Performance, alles immer top. Schön gestaltete Spielewelten mit netten Aufgaben, viele Missionen, dazu noch gut machbare Errungenschaften für einen 100% Spielstand. Zudem sehr preisgünstig. Von mir gibts mal wieder volle Punktzahl. Fazit: kaufen, kaufen, kaufen!

This is one of the Viking Brothers games on Steam, which started with Viking Brothers 1 in 2014. If you have played Viking Dentists 12 or Viking NCIS Agents 5 or Viking Kissing Cousins 134, you already know what you are getting. It's pretty much the bland breakfast that you don't think about because you always have it. There's nothing exceptionally right or wrong with it, it is simply there when you desire to play a time-management game. No one is going to play this who hasn't already played the 583 previous Viking Siblings games. However, while I consider this a filler episode, I am satisfied that I got exactly what I paid for. One word of caution: never play more than a few levels at a time even if that means it takes you two weeks to finish the game; otherwise there is a tedious sameness in the VH4 level design that is thankfully missing in most of the rest of the series. Doing 3 or 4 at a time still gives a nice sense of completeness and forward momentum.

[i]Viking Heroes 4[/i] is a time management game developed by Yustas Game Studio and published by Alawar Entertainment. As the name states, it's the fourth game in the [i]Viking Heroes[/i] series. You role play as the Viking siblings: Everand and Boromere, the brothers, and Helga and Brunnhilde, the sisters. The siblings are enjoying a feast with the gods when, suddenly, there's some shaking, followed by darkness. The group investigates this disturbance and discovers that Fenrir, a giant wolf, and his two sons are responsible. They plan to plunge the world into eternal darkness so that the wolves can inhabit the human world, and they plan to do so by destroying the sun and moon. Of course, it's up to our heroes to save the day. As for the gameplay, it's the same as in previous installments. There are a total of 50 main story levels and 10 bonus levels that are unlocked after you finish the main story levels. In addition, there are 5 mahjong solitaire type mini-levels that are unlocked as you progress. Also, there are the three usual difficulty levels: relaxed, normal, and expert. (For purposes of this review, I chose to play on normal mode.) The main and bonus story levels consist of a few tasks that you need to complete, and assuming that you play on timed mode, you can earn up to 3 stars. The tasks range from upgrading all buildings to blocking dark entrances. Most of these tasks are the same as before although there are a couple of new tasks, like Helga now having the ability to move floating islands by casting her magic on certain statues. There are the usual power-ups, too, like run faster and freeze time temporarily. Buildings produce necessary resources, such as food and wood. Of course, there are the usual Steam achievements/in-game trophies although no Steam trading cards at the time of this review. Now that I've gone over the story and gameplay, I'll move onto my critique. I enjoy time management games a lot and especially the ones published by Alawar Entertainment. The [i]Viking[/i] series is one of my favorites, so I was happy to discover this latest installment. First, I liked the story. Things seem peaceful at first, but of course, there has to be something to disrupt the peace and happiness. By now, the Viking siblings know how to work well together and stop whatever obstacles stand in their way. Also, I liked the introduction of Fenrir and his sons. There is a bit of a twist that's revealed in later levels as to the [spoiler]true reason that Fenrir is causing trouble, and it involves a particular mischievous god[/spoiler]. It's a light-hearted, fun adventure although the story can feel a bit repetitive if you've played the previous games. As for the gameplay, there are a couple of new elements, such as the ability to move floating islands. However, it can feel very much like the previous games, which can be a little boring. Nevertheless, I feel like the gameplay in this game has worked well for this series, so I don't see a reason to change things up too much. I didn't have any technical issues, and all the achievements unlocked for me. I should note, though, that there was one achievement that I had to replay a level to earn, so it felt a little grindy. As for the art, it's in the same style as in the previous games. It has that cartoony feel with the use of bright colors. There are storybook type cutscenes, which help to progress the story. Although the art doesn't add anything new, it still works. Regarding the music, all of the tracks are the same as in previous installments. Although the tracks fit well with the adventurous theme of this game and especially the whole Vikings story, it would have been great if there had been one or two new tracks to add a bit of variety. Overall, would I recommend [i]Viking Heroes 4[/i]? If you enjoy time management games and especially ones by Alawar Entertainment but don't mind the repetitiveness, then yes, I'd say this is worth getting. Despite that it feels the same, I still enjoyed this game, and I'd love to play future games in this series. For the asking price, I'd say it's worth it, as it took me almost 10 hours to complete the game and earn all of the achievements. Some new mechanics (day/night switching) but otherwise just more of the same. All achievements as usual can be obtained on easy mode without time limits. One of them requires replaying a level to build 3 more viking houses (for example lvl 9). There are only 22 viking houses in all levels combined and the achievement asks for 25.

Direkt im Bundle einen Rabatt bekommen und nur 4 Euro bezahlt, da ich alle anderen Teile der Serie schon besitze, finde ich klasse das wieder ein neuer Teil verfügbar ist, macht wieder sehr viel Spaß das kleine Spielchen, wer einen entspanntes Vergnügen sucht ist hier richtig, man kann gegen und ohne Zeitlimit spielen, nebenbei wird noch eine kleine Geschichte erzählt das wiederum ist die Hauptaufgabe des Spiels nach der Geschichte zu spielen, macht Spaß, kostet nicht viel und man verbringt locker 20 Std damit, Bonus Level gibt es auch noch, nach abschließen der Hauptstory. Daumen hoch, wie immer!

This is a casual time management game where you need to complete 50 levels to unlock all the achievements. It takes about 14 hours to complete the game and unlock all the achievements. Most achievements are unlock by just playing the game. The art style and gameplay is really nice and it is a nice way to waste some time while you are waiting on something else.

Repetitivo como os anteriores, mas com alguma novidade aqui (se você não gostou do primeiro, nem chegue perto deste). Existem alguns novos desafios, assim como pequenas características novas, mas a história continua boba. Os gráficos foram refinados e os níveis são mais rápidos, o que é positivo para o jogo. Seria bacana se a desenvolvedora, Alawar, usasse todo o conhecimento de jogos de gerenciamento de tempo para criar algo com tema maduro, trazer uma novidade para o gênero.
