Incredible Dracula: Dark Carnival
Collectible game from 2023. My 880th review and the 4,900th rated game overall. In Incredible Dracula 10 you are faced with a unique, magical puzzle! Elizabeth, Dracula's beloved wife, was cursed by the mischievous and legendary magician Bestby. Her head was turned into a pumpkin, and Dracula must break the curse before it's too late. [Publisher] This is about collecting, building, repairing and clearing paths and also about searching. The graphics are good and so is the sound. There is a story to play that makes for an adventure and is quite curious. The gameplay is linear throughout and therefore not that difficult. The search for the path is mostly dictated by well-balanced resource management. I played through the 65 levels in 14.5 hours and am surprised at what the developers have come up with once again. So let yourself be surprised as well. Recommendation for all who like games like this.
Incredible Dracula: Dark Carnival
Also lasst euch ebenso überraschen. Empfehlung für alle die solche Games mögen. You can play this game Un-timed and relaxed, and still get All Achievements! I really enjoyed this game. First I thought that I had to play it Timed to get all the Achievements. It was very hard, even in Novice, had to re-play every levels 10-20 times with only a second to spare. Wish They would have made it a little easier, because I enjoyed to play it timed, but I would have grown old before finishing it. When I asked one of my friends for help, since She already had finish the game, She told me that She played it un-timed Thanks JB! So now I highly Recommend the game, it was very fun to play. Developers though about everything, Thanks!
Mega geile Serie! :-)
First off: I recommend to TRY this. If you played this series prev. you already know there are potions and other extras to buy and it can get a little hairy trying to figure out what needs what where. This is a resource management game and if you're playing in Hard mode, you may be wondering if "two stars" is the new "three stars" for level achievement. Multiple replays of the same level are par for the course as you try to get the combinations of resource producers upgraded and the right paths to take. Thankfully, you can turn voices and music off for better concentration and use your system pointer. Graphics are deeply saturated in color. Some people put a lot of thought and care into this game, it shows and I like it. But if you're into completing every level in three stars on hard mode--do yourself a favor and forget it.
Note: A wonderful friend gifted me a copy of this game. ^^ Incredible Dracula: Dark Carnival is a time management game developed by Game Mixer and published by Alawar Entertainment. It is the 10th game in the Incredible Dracula series. As usual, you take on the role of Dracula, and as Dracula is relaxing at home, a terrible curse has befallen Elizabeth, his wife, whose head has been transformed into a pumpkin. It turns out that Bestby, a trouble-making magician who has been awakened, has a grudge against Elizabeth's family. Bestby proclaims that he'll only break the curse on Elizabeth if Dracula can prepare and hold a grand Halloween party. Thus, Dracula, Elizabeth, and their companions set off on this latest quest. That's the basic story premise, so I'll end my synopsis here to avoid spoilers and all that. ^^ As for the gameplay, if you've played any of the previous Incredible Dracula game or read any of my reviews of these games, it ends up being the same. You can choose from among three difficulty options: relaxed, novice (a.k.a. normal), or expert. (For review purposes, I chose to play on novice mode.) There are a total of 50 levels in the main game, with an additional 15 levels that are unlocked in a bonus story after you finish the main game. In each level, you're given a number of tasks, which can range from removing obstacles to talking to important NPCs who can help with preparing for the Halloween party. There are helpful power-ups that are unlocked as you progress, such as a run faster bonus, and you can even craft potions. You can earn up to 3 stars per level, depending on how quickly you complete the levels. Also, there are lots of Steam achievements although no Steam trading cards at the time of this review. Now that I've gone over the story and gameplay, I'll move onto my thoughts. It's probably no secret that I am a fan of time management games, especially the ones published by Alawar. Of course, I was happy to discover this latest installment in the Incredible Dracula series, as it had been quite a while since the release of the previous game. First, I'll go over the story. The stories in this series tend to be on the light-hearted, humorous side, and this latest story definitely gives off that vibe. Poor Elizabeth's head has been turned into a pumpkin, all because a magician has a vendetta against her family. Of course, Dracula is the hero who's going to save the day, and as these stories are on the predictable side, we can guess that
he does so, in his usual humorous, vampire fashion
. Although the main story definitely feels conclusive, I like how in these collector's edition, there's a bonus story. I enjoyed the bonus story a lot, as it narrates
how after the Halloween feast, Dracula ends up falling asleep for 1000 years and now he has to find a way to go back in time
. These stories can be wacky and zany, but they're very fun and enjoyable. However, the gameplay is the main focus of these games, so I'll go over this aspect now. Most of the levels feel balanced, so I didn't struggle with earning 3 stars. However, a couple of them were pretty difficult if you chose to follow the guide. Still, with some flexible thinking, I was able to earn 3 stars, even on these troublesome levels. I didn't encounter any technical issues, and all of the achievements can be earned in one playthrough if you choose to play either on novice or expert mode. (If you play on relaxed mode, you'll miss out on one particular achievement.) Getting back briefly to the gameplay, there aren't any new mechanics or whatnot, but that's fine. The mechanics that are present work, and like the story, the gameplay is fun (but can be a bit challenging at times). In regards to the art, it retains that cartoony style that is present in these games. The colors are bright and vibrant, and the backgrounds especially are well drawn. Commenting on the music, the tracks are the same as in previous installments, so there isn't anything new in that department, either. However, the tracks fit well with the game's Halloween theme well, giving off that slightly spooky, humorous atmosphere. Overall, would I recommend Incredible Dracula: Dark Carnival? If you enjoy time management games and are especially a fan of the Incredible Dracula series (or just any TM published by Alawar), then this is worth getting. This latest installment retains its humor through the story and characters while also, provides hours of fun with a mix of challenge. For the asking price, I think it's worth getting, as it took me over 14 hours to earn all of the achievements and finish all of the levels with 3 stars each. However, you can wait to get in on a sale, and it's in a couple of Steam bundles. ^^
For more detailed, high quality reviews like this, please follow The Introverted Gamer, prioritizing heart and soul always. ^^
the levels are very cutely designed, perfect for Halloween! unfortunately, some levels are bugged out when you want to use the bonuses at the bottom of the screen, which is why i dont recommend the game.

I love the Incredible Dracula Series among the time management games. High replayability because of the fun mechanics. Very good balanced difficulty and fun storyline. Motivating to get all Achievments as well. Would definitly buy again for full price, because i got 40 hours of fun out of it.
