Vignettes

Short, sweet, and has some very cute little secrets for those who pay attention. Very adorable art style, and the puzzles go deeper than the main gimmick of the game.

Vignettes has a cool visual conceit, but its true strength is giving just enough information to allow the player to engage with the exploration elements. Minor issues are that the object bending conceit can occasionally feel finicky, and I wish there was a better indication that puzzle progress can get reset when saving progress.

a short (but fun) game about objects changing through perspective. this used to be a (paid) mobile game, but it isn't available on android anymore. (and if i have to guess, this game doesn't work on IOS, as it hasn't been updated for ~7 years.) don't buy it at full price, though. you may end up 100%ing it in an hour.

My favorite game that’s so hard to describe. Do you enjoy perspective puzzles? Do you enjoy puzzles, that contain puzzles within themselves? Are you the type of person that gets sparkles in their brain when they see aesthetic colors and 3D designs that are clean as can be? If you answer yet to any of these questions this game is for you! Vignettes is a shockingly fun game about discovering items in other items to make a collection. It asks you to play with or, jingle its objects around like keys to find more or see what they do. It is a game of pure joy, and a little spot of light I think is worth everyone giving a try.

This game took a while to review, because it sort of shouldn't be spoken about. If you look at the pictures for this game you have essentially played it. For $8 you are being scammed, for something like $4 you are paying a fair price. It's fun, but I will admit this is one of those rare games that I actually ended up googling the answers to, much to my own shame.

Puzzle game that involves rotating 3D objects until they look like other objects, at which point they will change into that object. I have some issues with spatial awareness and understanding at times, so I think ultimately this game was more difficult for me than it would be for others. There were a few transitions between objects that were difficult for me to find without a guide, and some of the game's secrets seemed quite complex and possibly a bit moon logic-y. Despite these issues, I found the game quite cute, I was able to stumble on a large amount of the solutions with no problems, and I found the secrets to be quite charming, especially the sea and space related ones.
