Vengeance of Mr. Peppermint

Nice ode to Old Boy. Clearly a Korean game which the movie also hails from. I like the concept, but there is not enough variation in combos and the controls are realllly clunky. It isn't too punishing, so it is still enjoyable, though it will get old quite fast. Get at a discount. I hope the next game with this developer really excels as they have a lot of potential!

Like the art style and some of the gameplay but the control are not responsive enough for my liking comparing to others like street of rage 4 for example and more variation on basic goon could be added . I would say try it if you like it keep it you have a good 2hrs try with steam policy to see if the game is for you sadly not for me.

I liked it at first. I love the aesthetic and the soundtrack slaps. But there's bugs and things get real repetitive. Each enemy type has the same texture and use the same attack. Lim (the main char.) uses the same finishing move on each enemy. The bat execution is quick and simple, the others take longer to finish. THERES NO DIALOGUE SKIP! if you cant woop the boss you're gonna have to spam A for the rematch. I started A spamming all the dialogue out of frustration. The combat is bad. Lim's only fast on his feet when he dashes back or rolls. He only has 3 moves with range and 2 of"em can only be done after dashing backwards. Its tough to cut off distance and stay in range. Everyone walks faster than Lim and have longer range. Heavy attacks pushes them back and out of range. The only defense is blocking and dashing aside from a counter judo throw that you can only use on the unarmed thug when they kick. Theres no parry or other counter moves to punish. Theres not even any wake up attacks or maneuvers. Theres no way to escape or reverse grab attacks either. You can only grab stunned enemies. Its a shame you cant grab blocking enemies. Theres no way to stomp or finish those that are on the ground and Lims combo attacks feel weak.

Really wanted to like and support this game. Fighting gameplay is unfortunately worst I've seen in side-scroller game. It feels like playing very early demo that only has movement.

700 рублей за графоманию и посредственную боёвку?! Я купил за 300, но этого всё равно многовато для такой помойки.

Очень скучная игра. Плохая боевая система, я вечно застревал между врагами. Плохие комбо, ужасные шрифты в HUD. Возврат средств.

Прекрасный битэмап с красивой стилистикой, банальным сюжетом про месть якудзы за сестру. По сути вот что могло стать с Кирю, если он УБИВАЛ бы за Харуку. Не зря получил плохую концовку, так как намеренно не оставлял никого в живых, подчёркивает общую мрачность повествования, да и не могло бы быть ничего хорошего, после такого поля трупов, который оставил за собой MR,PEPPERMINT. Однозначно рекомендую к прохождению, один вечер балдежа обеспечен.
