crashes too often...
A very bipolar software does not know when to behave or will "crashout" on you get it? ha ha ... ha In all seriousness I have used this software since vegas 11 and up, it lacks compatibility with files and codecs and loves to crash a lot. If you do use this software I recommend pressing Ctrl + S every few minutes as it saves from it's own checkpoint and you may have to redo the past minute of what you edited. I only stuck to this software as re-learning new ones takes time and I have now found something better and more suited and has filters, effects and animations that aren't from the 2000's like Vegas provides. I do not recommend this software for it's price compared to how the software functions I would've recommended it if it didn't crash multiple times per session and had more compatibility with files and codecs as it's a nice, simplistic editing software but I just don't recommend it it's not worth your money and there's plenty out there for free that offer better features.

Is not supported for new Nvidia frameworks- you need to render through your CPU if you dont want it to crash- BUT despite that it will still bluescreen your computer, corrupt itself, and die. Dont give them any of your money, extremely dissapointed this is even allowed to be sold just to be abandoned a few years later.
Оперативки много надо прост
I'm very used to Vegas at this point so I didn't want to switch and learn a new editing software from scratch. But would I recommend it to anyone?
Hell no.
Vegas has a few things that should put off anyone from ever purchasing it: It is very clunky. A lot of things that are smooth and easy in most video editing tools either have to be manually done from the get-go or the realisation is so poor it looks terrible in the end. It is notoriously unstable. Especially if you are running AMD's hardware. Crashes are very common. Since video editing is my livelyhood, I had to skip out on a 9070XT build since Vegas 18 doesn't support AMD's AV1 encoding solution. If you have a GPU from the Red team of a newer gen
or heaven forbid an intel arc
prepare to render via CPU only since Vegas hates anything not coming from nVidia.
And this is the most important reason

These developers love to release abandonware.
It's not that the problem is with them releasing a new version every year or so. It's that support for the previous versions dies out pretty much immediately. This version, 18.0, was released On September 3rd, 2020. The last update was on May 25th, 2021. That's literally less than nine months. Pregnancy lasts longer than these pricks supporting their own software. And it's not a $10 piece of kit, either. When new, they are 200 euros! This version does NOT work with latest nVidia drivers. You cannot render videos with your nvidia GPU anymore!! The last gripe is my reason why I won't upgrade to any newer versions. One feature missing from Vegas Pro, no matter the version, is speech to text. This feature will NEVER be available on Steam, as they have decided to include the speech to text option ONLY in the monthly subscription payment method. The you will own nothing and be happy appeasement. I prefer one-time purchases. Save yourself the trouble and get a competitor's video editing software solution instead.
