Very cool and unique concept. The core mechanics are super simple and easy to understand, leaving the rest up to your own mastery. Competitive matches get VERY intense, I've left every session sweating. Very excited to see what the devs add to this going forward bc its already fun as hell
Awesome early access title! I haven't even tried the multiplayer yet because I'm hooked on the training mode.
VectorBall is an Early Access Paid VR game that is supposed to be online PvP. It worked on my HTC Vive, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Has a Vaporwave theme. Has a solo tutorial mission. Has plenty of background music tracks. Cons: - The online server is missing or not connecting. - There are no players buying this game and playing it. - Very hard to hit with the weapon ball. Not worth buying with money. I got a free key for this from the Steam Curator program. ViVE VR curator group
Not really my normal kind of game, but the art style drew me in. Fun experience playing- I was having trouble getting a match, but I went into the solo mode until I was able to. I think it's generally more put-together than other early-access games I've tried. The music was sick and I like that there's a music selector in-game. Would Vector again.
'VectorBall' is supposed to be a VR version of the classic Amstrad game only in VR and a multiplayer battle style game. But I would much rather play that only 80's game than play this one more time. You get two balls (one in each hand) and spawn them in with the triggers. One is a teleporting ball, the other is a weapon shot ball and you have to hit your opponent. While the gameplay is pretty terrible here it is the overall lack of...well...anything that is the worst part. Paying the full price of £11.39 you get an online-only game with zero other players. So all you can really play is the trainer side of things which as you can see in my gameplay video sucks. I always try to find the best things about any game I play, but this game makes that pretty much impossible. I liked some of the wireframe/retro graphics I suppose, but that would be about it. It's not often I do this, but I will be getting a refund here as there really isn't any content to talk about. Even if you can meet up with friends the gameplay would still suck and you would both be left feeling out of pocket. To be honest, even if this was free I would be struggling to recommend it. Do check out my gameplay video (if you can call it that) - https://youtu.be/mrRMj9DV3os
Vaporwave DodgeBall. Is Fun.
love the vaporwave soundtrack and environments!
I have gotten a chance to play a few training matches. The only disclaimer I have is make sure you have plenty of space to walk around your room. You can play stationary, but I recommend standing. Now, for the game itself! Controls - Left handed ball will move your character forward to the spot the ball lands. The right handed ball will eliminate the other players or AI you're fighting against. You will need to arch your arm back and throw the ball just like you would in real life. Even though this is a VR simulation it is pretty immersive and I found myself getting mesmerized by the world. I'm looking forward to playing more of this game! Visuals - You're going to get lost in the backgrounds, clean visuals in destruction events as well Sound - The sound is crisp, doesn't flutter. There are 22 tracks in the game currently. Overall - This is a fun experience to sit and play for a while! I recommend!
