SO BORING
Greatly enjoyed Coteries - but immediately put off by the realization that Shadows has completely done away any level of player customization (Where coteries was lacking, but had something.. at least I could choose my own damn name.), and I simply cannot relate to Julia in any aspect. The writing is wonderful as ever, but I guess my expectations were tainted by the first game. As it is, I just can't connect with it at all. I'd rather be a participant, not a spectator.
The absolute need to insert and make it explicit the woke agenda in every single character, scene or event is beyond distasteful. It is a disgrace that true quality and talent became just secondary to ppl developing and financing games.
Really disappointing. The story spends nearly all of its time establishing some grand kind of vampire politics plot only to end up in a nothingburger. Durrr here's your fall guy, now take it or leave it. The main chracter also feels obnoxious and way too overpowered for who she is. I also couldn't wrap my head around the obvious Masquerade violations of her being allowed to keep ties with her mortal past life (writing about it in a vague manner as to avoid spoilers), and her super-advanced L33T clan abilities she technically shouldn't possess whatsoever. Sure, let's make her not just a sassy goth girl vampire, but also an overpowered sassy goth girl vampire. Other characters don't really feel like they exist in the story for any other reason but to serve as lego bricks for the whole 'mystery conflict' of the game, and even that didn't pay off as the conclusion to it all was absolutely pathetic. Didn't enjoy, can't recommend.
Honestly, it's not bad, considering I'll forever feel like Bloodlines was the peak of the franchise. If you're a super fan of VTM, go for it if it's on sale. Update: Played through the entire thing, I keep my opinion, but this is for major fans only. I suspect if you're new to VTM, not gonna be a good experience.
I was a fan of V:TM, and this is set up like the table top game with a narrative twist.
Cool universe, good writing
amazing art and a decent story about a vampire finding her place in the world of darkness with some cameos (and new art) from the first game's cast. i would recommending looking up the 3-4 decisions early if you want to just do one satisfying run with the good ending(which requires you to be a cutthroat selfish ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥). definitely worth it on sale especially if you like the art and are interested in the world of darkness.
.
Очень неплохо по ласомбра. Хоть что-то.
