Explore the expansive and shadowy dungeon, where you will gather the souls of warriors to aid your kingdom. Enhance the character's skill system to confront the multitude of fierce monsters that lie in wait. Acquire rare equipment and develop unique characters from an extensive database containing hundreds of skills and items. Assume the role of Patricia, a Keres tasked with collecting the souls of fallen warriors. Following the directives of Hel, the queen of the underworld, she ventures into Midgard—the realm of humans—to maintain the balance of power over Asgard. Throughout her journey, Patricia encounters a myriad of peculiar tales, various demons, and bizarre monsters that have never been witnessed, even in the depths of hell. I dedicated 1.5 hours of my time to this experience, time that could have been better spent on more significant activities, such as taking a lengthy, satisfying break, which, I must say, would yield a far superior outcome than this endeavor.

Man, I spent a solid 6 minutes of my life playing this, that's 6 minutes I could've spent on something more important like taking a fat, steamy dump which might I add is a far better product than whatever the heck this thing is.
Valkyrie Nemesis is a side-scrolling anime action game that focuses heavily on fast combat, flashy visual effects, and straightforward arcade-style gameplay. Developed and published by KAI HSUAN CHU, the game places players in control of a powerful Valkyrie warrior battling through futuristic environments filled with mechanical enemies, monsters, and increasingly dangerous bosses. The overall experience feels heavily inspired by classic hack-and-slash action games combined with anime aesthetics, delivering a gameplay loop centered around aggressive combat and stylish attacks rather than deep storytelling or highly technical mechanics. From the beginning, the game moves quickly into action. Players progress through linear stages while fighting waves of enemies using melee attacks, aerial combos, special abilities, and dodge mechanics. Combat is designed to feel energetic and immediate, encouraging constant movement and offensive pressure instead of defensive strategy. Enemy groups frequently surround the player, forcing rapid reactions and encouraging players to chain attacks together to maintain momentum. The controls are responsive enough to keep the battles fluid, and even though the combat system remains relatively simple overall, the speed of encounters helps make fights consistently entertaining during the early stages. One of the game’s most appealing qualities is its visual presentation. Valkyrie Nemesis embraces a colorful anime-inspired art style filled with dramatic attack animations, glowing energy effects, and exaggerated combat sequences. Battles are constantly filled with explosions, flashing abilities, and high-speed movement that make even ordinary fights feel visually intense. The futuristic sci-fi environments also help create a distinctive atmosphere by combining advanced technology with fantasy-inspired warrior aesthetics. While the graphical fidelity itself is modest compared to larger action games, the strong art direction gives the game a clear identity and keeps the action visually engaging. The combat system prioritizes spectacle above complexity. Special abilities are designed to look powerful and dramatic, often covering large sections of the screen with energy attacks and visual effects. There is a satisfying rhythm to chaining together attacks while launching enemies into the air or overwhelming groups with powerful skills. Boss fights are where the gameplay becomes most enjoyable because they require better timing and positioning compared to standard enemy encounters. Larger enemies with aggressive attack patterns force players to engage more carefully with the combat mechanics, creating moments that feel more dynamic and memorable than ordinary battles. Progression is relatively straightforward and accessible. Players gradually unlock additional abilities and upgrades that improve combat effectiveness, allowing the protagonist to become more powerful as the stages grow increasingly difficult. The game avoids overly complicated systems and instead keeps advancement simple enough that players can focus almost entirely on the action itself. This accessibility helps maintain a fast pace, though it also means the gameplay systems never evolve into anything particularly deep or strategic. The soundtrack fits the game’s style well by delivering energetic music during combat encounters and more atmospheric tracks between battles. The audio design helps reinforce the anime-inspired tone, especially during boss fights where dramatic music adds intensity to large-scale confrontations. Sound effects for attacks and abilities also carry enough impact to make combat feel satisfying, even when the underlying mechanics remain relatively basic. Despite its strengths, Valkyrie Nemesis does struggle with repetition over longer play sessions. Although the combat remains visually exciting, the core gameplay loop changes very little throughout the experience. Players spend most of the game moving through linear stages while defeating waves of similar enemies, and the lack of significant gameplay evolution eventually becomes noticeable. The combat system is fun in short bursts, but players searching for more advanced combo systems or greater strategic depth may find it lacking compared to stronger titles within the genre. Level design is another area where the game feels somewhat limited. Most stages are highly linear and focus almost entirely on moving from one combat encounter to the next. While this structure keeps the pacing fast and accessible, it also reduces environmental variety and exploration. Outside of occasional visual changes and boss fights, many sections begin to feel structurally similar after extended playtime. More creative stage mechanics or environmental interaction could have helped maintain variety more effectively. The story serves mainly as a framework for the action rather than a major focus of the experience. The narrative introduces enough context to explain the protagonist’s mission and the game’s world, but character development and emotional depth remain fairly limited overall. The game clearly prioritizes maintaining combat momentum over delivering a complex or emotionally engaging storyline. Players primarily interested in stylish action will likely accept this approach, though those hoping for stronger world-building or memorable narrative moments may feel underwhelmed. Even with these shortcomings, Valkyrie Nemesis succeeds at what it sets out to do. It delivers fast-paced side-scrolling combat combined with strong anime aesthetics and satisfying visual spectacle. The game understands the appeal of straightforward hack-and-slash gameplay and rarely slows down long enough to become boring. While repetition and limited mechanical depth prevent it from reaching the highest level of the genre, the energetic pacing and flashy combat help maintain enjoyment throughout much of the experience. What ultimately makes the game enjoyable is its simplicity. Valkyrie Nemesis does not attempt to reinvent action gaming or overwhelm players with complicated systems. Instead, it focuses entirely on stylish combat, accessible mechanics, and visually dramatic encounters that can be enjoyed casually without a huge time investment. This straightforward design philosophy gives the game a certain charm, especially for players who simply want fast action and anime-inspired spectacle without excessive complexity. For fans of side-scrolling hack-and-slash games and anime-style combat experiences, Valkyrie Nemesis provides a fun and visually energetic adventure filled with satisfying battles and flashy abilities. It may not have the depth, polish, or narrative strength of larger action franchises, but it still offers enough entertaining combat and stylish presentation to remain enjoyable for players looking for lightweight arcade-style action. Those willing to accept its repetitive structure and simpler mechanics will likely find a solid and occasionally exciting action game hidden beneath its modest scope. Rating: 6/10
Cool game. I hope the team continues to improve the title. I had a problem with the tenth floor (not loaded and I had to interrupt the game), but the idea that every floor can be, for one wrong decision, a demise is pretty cool. I loved even the story with the sisters.
조금 해봤는데 도통 감이 안잡히시는 게임. 그냥 돈주고 안사는걸 추천함..-.-;;
The description makes it seem like it could be a good game, but alas it is not! The game is clearly made with RPG Maker MZ by someone that does not really know how to use the system. The battle system is Basic turn based system where all your attacks have cool downs, the enemy however is not limited in the same way, so you will spend turns doing nothing (not even a defend option) while the enemy is still attacking you. You find other chars along the way, but no matter how many floors you are into the game they always start on lv 1. If you are extremely lucky you can find 1 or 2 of the 3 characters with a healing ability very early (the first floor or 2) if you get them any later than that they will likely die in 1 hit and they don't heal much as it is, but at least it's something. Status effect continue after battle for both positive and negative effects and will wear off by walking around, but while positive effects like regen will not heal you while walking around. negative effects like burn and poison will damage you while walking around. I have had characters die while outside of battle because of burn. On the map you will have an option of 2 - 4 rooms to choose from, choose which one you want to use carefully because as soon as you interact with anything in a room you are locked into that room and can not go into any of the other rooms. So far that I have found the things you can interact with are Mob - Fight 1 or 2 Mobs Blue flame - recruits an ally I have had as many as 6 characters but only 3 can go into battle and only the ones in the battle gain exp. Also important to note that the enemies get stronger with each floor but the recruits always start on lv 1. past floor 3 or 4 they will almost always die in 1 hit. Grave stone - same as Blue flames Angel Statues - These mostly give negative status effects like burn, poison, blind, slow...etc. But I have 1 time gotten Skillful of course the game doesn't tell you what it does and in the same room I hit a statue for blind both effects last 20 turns or a whole lot of steps. I also once got a party fully healed from a statue unfortunately it was on floor 1 and the only other thing in the room was a blue flame. RNG has not been with me in this game so far. Save Crystal - saves the game Treasure box - can have anything from gold, equipment, or skills(main char only) you main char starts with 4 skills and can have 5 max. after you fill the fifth slot you then get to choose to swap out skills or not. You can reroll the treasure box once for free and an additional 4 more times for gold (for each treasure box) so if you don't like what you got don't hesitate to reroll. The rerolls will always be the same type ie if you reroll an equipment treasure it will be another equipment same for skill treasure boxes. Gold treasure boxes can not be rerolled. Big Crystals - Boss, MUCH STRONGER than the mobs on that floor but if you manage to survive they also give much more exp and gold Each room will contain between 1 and 4 objects. Death!! It's going to happen, likely very early and very often. When you die You talk to Hel(ruler of the Underworld) who informs you that it's ok because since you are working for her that you have infinite tries. After dying you start back at LV 1 at Floor 1. with none of the Gold, Items, Skills, Allies, or Equipment that you collected on the previous run. THAT'S RIGHT YOU START FROM SCRATCH!!!!! The farthest I have made it is Floor 12. If after reading this you are feeling particularly masochistic and want to try it out. Here are a couple of tips... Floor 1 get at least 1 ally preferably 2 and hopefully 1 is a healer. Floor 2 make sure you have at least 2 allies. If not end the game and try again. After you have at least 3 characters you should prioritize rooms with multiple treasures and or Mobs Avoid the Angel statues like the plague, unless you literally just saved. While you can just walk off Blind or slow, Burn and Poison will Kill you. If you are not having a good run saving is useless. The 1 time I saved I died on the next floor and no matter how many times I reload that save I always die on the next floor. Saving when you are half dead is not helpful! If you decide to play good luck and may RNGesus be with you.
