About

You are a captain of an independent asteroid excavation ship, operating in the mineral-rich rings of Saturn - the thickest debris field in our solar system. Your task is to navigate rings, excavate minerals, and sell the ore at the Enceladus station.

You can hire and manage your crew who will aid you, update your ship - or switch to a completely new one. You can acquire a bounty hunter licence, explore mysteries or smuggle weapons - but at the core, you are a rock-hopper and rock-hopping is what you’ll spend most of your time at. And since it is the core of this game, we made sure you’ll have a great time flying your ship and excavating.
You are no chosen one, the story does not revolve around you - it is driven by the characters you hire and encounter, and each playthrough will play out differently. You can choose to investigate and embrace their lives, or just ignore them. It’s all up to you.
Tired of having more Fiction than Science? Here you will find lasers are not visible without a medium, sound does not move through the void of the empty space and every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Thrusters eject gas that heats up and pushes away objects, your reactor is cooled by propellant flowing through it and radiators glow when you pump heat into them.

There are no energy shields, teleporters and Heisenberg compensators. No lightspeed, no blasters, and no artificial gravity. Instead, we have fission reactors, thermal rockets, ion thrusters and centrifugal gravity. You'll have hard decisions to make, with no "best" equipment to answer every need.
All technologies are real and there is no technobabble. But it’s still a game and one that is fun to play.
ΔV is in active development, with new stable updates coming out each week, and experimental ones getting pushed out daily. Many ideas you’ll find in the game come from players and it is not uncommon to suggest something on our discord - and see it in the game next week. Our player community consists of enthusiasts geeks, engineering and science-fiction nerds, and if that sounds like your kind of crowd - come to our discord, chat with us, and see how the game unfolds in real-time.

The event-driven nature of our storytelling means that we can expand our stories and enrich your experience seamlessly - while you are still playing. There is no need to start a new save, new events, equipment and features will just appear as you go.

宇宙冷漠了
One of the best space games ever.
I was not expecting much, but I am very pleasantly surprised. These developers knew what they were doing. The content in this game isn't enough for thousands of hours of gameplay, but a few hundred for sure which is still a huge achievement for a single-player game. I was worried the gameplay would be too complicated and too fast paced for someone not experienced with this type of 2D space games, but it is surprisingly simple and while the initial dashboard filled with stats will overwhelm you (tutorial isn't very comprehensive, use Discord community and wiki for info), all give you some useful reading and you can learn about them one by one at your own pace. The game will let you to just float around and mine with occasional event that can be either friendly, hostile or neutral and all bad things that happen to your ship you can prevent with foresight, knowledge and manual skills in flying so for those that look for skill-based gameplay this game does offer that. As the game stands it is on the more casual side of gaming. Mistakes are not very costly and if your ship blows up you return to main menu and you essentially "restart" the run. if you love games like Project Zomboid where you have high stakes you will have to get creative with self-restrictions or mods to make the game challenging to the desired amount. For the mechanics this game offers surprising amount of depth and complexity despite there only being 7 playable ship types of which 5 have modified variants that make them more or less suitable for different jobs. On top of that most are highly modular, meaning you could make them more suitable for whatever purpose you want by installing more mining or combat focused equipment or more economic or powerful thrusters. And if that isn't enough you can tune those individual pieces of installed hardware to consume more or less power for example to further min-max your ship. It is all your choice and most pieces of equipment can be changed between without any fee so your build will only get better the more you try things out and see what works and what doesn't. You can have A LOT of fun with all of this and I haven't found anything noteworthy to be frustrated about. As for the content outside your ship, to avoid spoilers there will be things surprising you even after 100 hours. You will be finding things you've never encountered before, finding variants of ships you've never seen before and there are factions with which you will have different interactions depending on how friendly or hostile they are to you which also changes your opportunities in the rings. You can befriend all factions and enjoy mining and trading without many interruptions or you can "scorch earth" and hunt down every ship you come across. In short you can make of this game what you want and what you can't change there aren't many things to complain about. I also haven't mention stability, because the game never froze or crashed on me. I did have short framerate issues when I fired a weapon called 'Tetsuo' at ore chunks, but that was an exception. Overall this game is definitely worth even the full price. It is simply a well made videogame forged by a competent team of developers and it feels like a completed product ESPECIALLY for the price. The only thing to complain about is how difficult it was to find. I only learnt about it from a Starsector review. In the sea of games on Steam this is the diamond in the rough most people won't learn about, but they definitely should.
It's strangely relaxing and compelling once you get the hang of it. Only complaint is that there should be more ships and a custom cargo bay for the construction platform that has the Eagle's grinding bits in it so you can swallow 'roids whole.
Gra naprawdę wciąga. Różnica między 1 autopilotem a ostatnim to jak przesiadka z malucha na s-klasę i takich smaczków jest naprawdę wiele. Ktoś porównał tą grę do eve to jakby porównywać Contrę do GTA5
It's been too long since a spaceship game has made me really want to tweak and customize and choose and come up with my own unique and perfect ship configuration like this.
Superb immersion and accuracy
