Nice concept on paper, but the execution is deeply flawed. I would say the creator has a nice idea of what makes a roguelike fun, but not what makes a soulslike fun. They need to focus more on a proper challenge that is tough, but fair, that pushes mastery of your mechanics and equipment to give a satisfying win, and less on "YOU DIE IN ONE HIT HAHA MY GAME IS HARDDDD" which is a trap so many indie souls like games fall into and thus they wind up in the realm of 4-5/10 territory at best. For comparison, Dark Souls 2 would be a 7/10. That is the standard any souls like should aim to achieve: At least as good as dark souls 2.
The game is a buggy mess. The teaser video is basically in fast forward compared to the sluggish pace of the actual game. This is almost a good game but between the flat combat, slow pace, and bugs... a refund was requested
Buen juego, entretenido, buen coop local.
Не похожа на то, что описано и показано в трейлерах, игра банальнее и топорнее....
My character keeps waving his arms in the air for no apparent reason...Not out of stamina so I don't get it...but even it I were out of stamina...why the stupid locked gesture animation? Just kills it for me. Strongly considering refunding....might give it another try when another game has put me back in a better mood...
Game review - Usuper: SoulBound I played Usuper: SoulBound and initially I really liked the dungeon proposals and the way the game developed, I started playing alone, but soon after I realized that it would be more fun to play with a friend. Split screen is usually a challenge nowadays in computer games, but during gameplay it didn't present any inconvenience to me. The tension of each room and the danger that awaited us just outside the door added an extra thrill. In addition to being a light game, the option to play together made me want to explore the whole game even more... because playing with a friend is clearly more fun! The quantities and art of the enemies were excellent too, I believe that more varieties will be added according to the development of the game. But after a while of exploring, we started to find some bugs in rooms where the Boss wasn't and we got stuck in the dungeon forcing the game to restart. Problems- Body possession issues, when possessing the same body at the same time, a player is out until the game is restarted. Player recognition issues.. when the player died while possessed, there was a chance that the killed player would not be revived by his teammate. And problems also when reviving the dead player, having the chance to fall in a place outside the map where all the Monsters of the stage were. With nowhere to go, the only option left was to restart the game again. Prós, Great game, very fun for those who like to explore with their friends. Against, the excess of bugs can demotivate the player to continue.
USER INTERFACE (UI): The pre-game UI is Great. It is easy to understand and to follow. The in-game UI is good. Function wise, they are easy to understand and give the necessary information needed. GAMEPLAY / PLAYABILITY: The gameplay is very unique, where we could actually take over the enemy's body and transform our own spirit. This is an amazing thing for the player to help moving forward through the dungeon. The battle is fairly challenging, but it’s not too easy either. Especially when you’re fighting the boss, combined with other enemies. You need to have a good strategy to beat them. The fact that you need to beat the miniboss to level up, it’s even more pressure and challenging. CONTROLS: Controls are awesome. They all respond pretty quickly for controlling the characters GRAPHICS and SOUNDS: The graphics are amazing. I love the contrast and color combinations. The Dungeons look amazing. Great detail on the artwork, I love it. The sound effects are great. The slashing, attacking, stabbing, cracking, etc are very satisfying. PERFORMANCE: There is no issue with performance from loading the game, the menu and during playing the game. CONCLUSION: This game has a huge potential with some modification, organization, and adding more features and more contents. I would definitely recommend the game. PRO: Awesome gameplay, Easy to learn how to play, Great graphics CON: Difficulty SCORE: 8 out of 10
The game is a blast. The combat feels punchy and rewarding, the music is atmospheric and so are the sound effects you could say, all of it works together really well. Not gonna lie though, the game is pretty damn hard, but conquering it is worth it, especially after you realize what is the game's unique selling point which is the ability to take over the bodies of the enemies you face. Since each of them have different stats and weapons you will be actively considering which one suits your needs the best and actively strategizing whilst fighting hordes of enemies(though you can't go switching from one enemy to the other, you have a limited amount of power for that), on top of that there's also some environmental interaction too, you can use the traps set out for you in taking down your foes. All in all a fascinating game and I highly recommend you check it out if you are into rouge/soul-likes.
+ Simplistic, but pleasant graphics. + Good music and sound accompaniment. + Good character development system, constant reinforcement of the hero as the game progresses. + Quite a few types of equipment. + It is possible to play in co-op.
Great action rpg game, you need to think and do a lot Special things to pass the level and not screw it up, I personally like these indie style rpg roguelikes, I advise everyone. If you really like roguelikes, then you can leave a look at this because there are very beautiful graphics and good dialogues
