About
Serpent’s Gaze is a punishing 1-4 player co-op third-person action game where you fight tough enemies and relentless bosses, all while uncovering the secrets of an ancient desert.
Choose your favorite weapon and fight tough enemies in heavy, tactical combat, with a plethora of different upgrade possibilities. Fight your way through handcrafted levels, and face the bosses – as many times as you need.
With support for up to 4 players, you can face the challenges of the world together with your teammates, or play at your own pace alone.
As you progress through levels, you find upgrades along the way – blessings from strange deities, gifts from your patron and strange relics to utilize in your pilgrimage. Choose wisely and explore endless builds and strategies.
The Curse system introduces random variables every run – everything from minibosses hunting you, to environmental hazards that keep new runs fresh and challenging.
The Awareness system brings even more challenges, making each successful run progressively harder.
Battle through imposing environments inhabited by different factions. The desert and ruins belong to the nomadic Majin, while the city with its cathedrals is inhabited by the proud Attar’Esh.
You are a scion – brought to life by the withering tree god Magnolia, with the sole purpose of vanquishing the opposing gods and usurpers who currently rule the lands.
There is only one way to make the desert bloom again - violence.

don't listen to the bad pc actors who suck at roll, jump, smash light attack, and time your strong attack gamers. this game is a great multyplayer and single player roguelike. great game can't wait for updates. If you like multyplayer rogue like you will love this game.LETS GO!!!!
Game has amazing potential, but many poor balancing choices, as well as absolutely infuriating unlock requirements for several things, namely complete RNG. The (arguably) best weapon in the game is unlocked purely via random chance, as is one of the classes. I can understand a super rare and powerful weapon being a rare, random drop, but a class should NEVER be purely random chance. There is no way to weight the RNG, and they aren't tied to any quests or basic requirements. So for unlucky people, such as myself, it's just meaningless to even try. I've unlocked everything else in the game, and now my only option is to mindlessly beat my head against the wall while I pray for pure luck, and instead just get repeated runs of nothing for weeks now. Will update to a positive review when unlocks are not PURELY random chance.
very peak and fun, multiplayer is also peak
Very fun co-op soulslike roguelike. While at the surface the game plays like a soulslike, controls are similar, boss fights are similar etc, the games pace and story is much more like a roguelike, think Rogue Legacy or Risk of Rain, where your first playthrough is ultimately knee-capped, but as you play you unlock new starting classes and weapons to begin your run with next time. The level design however feels quite different than Dark Souls, or Elden Ring, where those worlds and environments tell a hidden story, the level design in Serpents Gaze feels more like a reverse tower defense, you are clearing lanes or mazes of enemies, to unlock shortcuts to get to the bosses. While the shortcuts are very much darksouls like, I find that there is less of a world that seems layered with history and story, and more of just ancient architecture laid out in a way that funnels you through lanes of enemies. That being said, as a co-op game this is much better than inviting random summons to help you in dark souls, the game is fully co-op you join up in a hosts game and each run when your team dies you're brought back to the same starting town to choose your loadout and do another run. The runs themselves feel more like Risk of Rain than playing darksouls, because the enemies are somewhat randomized and the special power-ups you receive are random as well, although the upgrade points you interact with give you the Vampire Survivors sort of 3 card choices to apply. So even with the same starting class, and weapon, 3 runs in a row can vary and feel like very different runs because the powerups you get might stack with your builds in very lucky ways or for certain runs you might not get as many amazing choices, an area might be full of lesser mobs, and another time they might have less mobs but have stronger archers or large units. Ultimately the roguelike elements makes the game immediately more fun as a coop game, because even if my friends play more or less than me, the powerups you collect during your run together really make or break the run, and less so the initial build you choose, or what weapons you have individually unlocked. The game right now isn't very long, while there are plans in the roadmap to add another domain (4 levels, 4 bosses), but at 20$ CAD I don't regret my purchase, it is quite good price for how much replayability there is, there are still lots of classes for me to unlock, and I am curious what the areas and bosses I haven't made it to yet have in store. It might seem like quite a small amount of content compared to say vampire survivors when you consider how many characters, upgrades and levels there are in that game at its price compared to this, but I can see how much more time has been put into animations, building out interesting levels, etc there is in Serpents Gaze and I think its an appropriate amount of content from an indie studio for a game at this price. As long as you go in understanding that a traditional souls-like game will have you exploring searching for secrets, and tying to level up your build and equipment more as sort of "time fillers" this game strips away those things and focuses on a good epic run, where the action is pretty action pact the entire time, and you're not spending much time running back into areas, or farming souls to upgrade gear.
The Game is not very replayable because its always the same 3 or 4 enemies per lvl and the random events like hands falling on you stunning you and making sure you die they even spawn mid boss fight which can even ♥♥♥♥ up your whole run. But apart from those giant issues the game is good.
不赖,有肉鸽元素玩法就很多了,内容赶紧增多把
it's cool and fun, aggro seems a bit weird on MP but nothing horrendous.
The game is pretty good but has a few small flaws and one REALLY big one. The small ones are the rarity of which u get heals. I would rather have a hard area before the boss but then get my heals back then a easy area that is just there to drain my heals so i have to hitless the boss. The really big thing that made this review negativ are randomly falling hands. Do you know the walking wands from elden ring? Its those but in any level while u are fighting any enemy (even bosses) the spawn direkly above u, stagger u and most likely make sure u lose at leased one heal or the entired run. They should be removed because they add nothing to the game and make it just random felling
gud
