It's not worth 0.00$ that I spent on it. Nobody will read my review so I Will Eat 1 Tablespoon of ketchup For Every Like this gets.
Uriel's Chasm 2: את goes in my "Wtf did I just play?" category, and not in a good way ... despite the failure of the original, the devs still decided to proceed with a sequel that isn't any better than the first one. The nonsensical story, lack of goal or story is still there, as you are immediately thrown into a bullet-hell style game with a stats bar that shows boss HP and your HP as well as some fruits (?). I still don't know what's going on besides killing the enemy on top of the screen. From shooting an alien monster in space, to picking items in an apple field ... I'm still not sure what's going on. Some of the text and dialogue in the intro doesn't make any sense, and sounds like it was written by a 2nd grader. Walls of text between each gameplay makes the game feel more labour-intensive to read, too. You can't even skip the intro either after restarting, so you're trapped with those walls of text. The pixel visuals and audio music are decent, but that doesn't do any justice to how horrid my experience was playing. Don't bother touching Uriel's Chasm 2: את. I wouldn't suggest this game even to my enemies.
Er... What the...? This is some sort of a bullet hell game with mini-games. The graphics are poor. The Music is decent. The story is weird and mostly unintelligible. No bugs or crashes. Overall, nothing worth mentioning. It's a lackluster game with very confusing mechanics and a "story" that makes as much sense as your under the influence screaming-to-himself dude on the street corner. It includes cards and... that's it. Unto greener fields we go.
I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay. After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like. Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends. Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together. Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that. Thank you.
its ok
I can't even open my volume mixer without the game screwing up. I finished the game and my Steam closes (out of shame). I had hopes, but no, the same spirit of arrogance present in the first game is still here. The game is shorter, thank God. The graphics and soundtrack still very amateurish. Not even options to remove the damn music. It's so obnoxious. In the "tree" section, there is no pattern for the enemies. The puzzle section is bad, but at least a better thing to play without dying and resetting. The surf part is boring but not difficult. And then, nothing, just another wall of text, like someone is going to read all this sh*t. There is nothing fun or clever about that. The "cutscenes" now doesn't make me puke. The bullet hell section is fine. The idea about the shield and risk is interesting. But also, no life recovery. And not something to criticize but, why NWjs to release your game? There is construct, game maker, unity and godot. This is the first time I download a Steam game with this. How strange. It's like release Ikaruga on Scratch or on an Electronjs application. Even though I despised playing Uriel's Chasm again. I want to see if the third game can do better. But actually paying for it is another story. I don't recommend this game. Not even in a discount.
Uriel's Chasm 2: את is a weird biblically themed 2D retro pixel jumble of various arcade like minigames, including bullet hell/shoot 'em ups and so on. There's a number of the different game modes that are presented as you progress through the game, but it turns out that even if you add more mediocre kinds of gameplay to a game, it doesn't make it better. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. Some of the defects in the game can be attributed to the choice of using the Construct 2 game construction kit. This is a very poor quality toolset sometimes used by amateur developers as it doesn't require advanced game development skills, but unfortunately has very limited capabilities (it's worse than GameMaker Studio!). Just as you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear, you can't make a great video game if you use a terrible engine. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. Uriel's Chasm 2: את is over optimistically priced at $5 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam.
I do not recommend
"What the hell did I just play" part 2. Terrible, stay away.
