Untold Memories: Potter's Field

Edit due to Devs response March 24th 2026: I forgot Devs get ability to respond to anything posted, no one FORCED me, and from the looks of your reviews most of them are looking rather suspicious, where its their first review ever. Finishing the game would have been great if it wasn't so just unfinished and unpolished, you state a 2 man dev team... there are more single dev and small team devs out there that aren't using prebuilt engines, all store assets, AI art or voices, and so many other things that were just free, there are REAL devs that put out true passion for their craft, and this has no passion at all, no originality at all. I have seen devs make good games with store bought free an AI, but again they have passion and dedication to their craft, not just some CLONE attempt. I am harsh because not just the game but the reviews look fake too, like either friends family multiple accounts, it's not the first time I have seen game pages look exactly like this. $10 is too much for your first ever game, I understand you want to make that 100$ back you paid to steam, I refunded it because what I was getting was NOT fun and NOT worth $10. If you would LIKE me to finish the game and do a RE-REVIEW of it, I am totally game for that, but not until all bugs are hammered out and you provide the game, cause I am not losing money to a game I paid for then refunded because I didn't like it. Because as a game dev you need to understand this NOT EVERYONE WILL LIKE YOUR PRODUCT, going after every bad review like this, looks HORRIBLE ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This game is just a mess... it's full of spelling errors, and bugs making the game unplayable unless you do a work around. The credit's are incomplete, like who are the voice actors, Who made the music... the sound effects? Why not stop crediting only yourselves and patting yourselves on the back for another MEMORIES based on a true story clone that is clearly a story you just made up. and credit the assets you bought, the people you paid... if ANY, the character voice is so dead he might as well just not talk, the mouth animations, eating animations, even the fire in the cabin that is just a burst of a flame over and over like its turning off an on... it's a fire... it should just burn consistently. This game I just could not finish because everything about it is just unpolished unfinished and slapped together. You may have spent more time than most assembling your legos, but you obviously didn't read the instructions... I have a good PC (9950x3d 96GB ram 5070TI) and it maxed out my GPU like it was going to starve, I had to limit the frames outside of the game to 120 just so it wouldn't stutter. The price of this game is GREEDY beyond belief to call it a finished product and to lay claim to everything you did in it. And seeing how you blame the people who bought it in other reviews, I disabled comments so you can just keep your excuses to yourself. Refunded

W GAME, ABSOLUTE CINEMA

Very decent story. Some pretty good jumpscares that made me hug my gengar plushie. It could've used a bit more though. Some of the sounds were a bit loud at times, especially the diary parts. The story was drawn out a bit when it came to the walking around "job" parts. But overall pretty solid game. Voice acting was pretty awesome, music and ambient sounds were good (When they weren't too loud), and the story was interesting and kept me in until the very end. I hope to see more stories from this studio! 8.5/10

If I hadn’t known that this game was made by just two people, I wouldn’t have thought it was an indie title. I really think it’s a high-quality game worth checking out, especially for an indie studio’s debut title. W game

Looks great, played fine with a 4090, lots of setting options, should be a couple hrs long with a few good jump-scares. made by 2 brothers in Unreal 5.4.4.0. it was worth the play. https://youtu.be/I1KhWmEcXQo

This game is really good. The story is great. One issue, though, is that Lumen feels a bit too strong, which makes the lighting look a little harsh. There are occasional FPS drops, but if you turn off AA, it becomes playable. 9/10

W GAME

무난하게 재미있는 공포 게임입니다. 그렇지만 LOTY 랜턴 오브 더 이어, 역대급 랜턴뷰를 자랑합니다. 헤드 바빙은 들어봤어도 랜턴 바빙은 신선하네요. 주인공의 엄청난 헤드 바빙과 함께 엇박자로 움직이는 랜턴 바빙은 주인공의 엄청난 속도의 달리기 속도와 어우러져 굉장한 긴박감을 선사합니다. 주인공이 천식이라는 것이 믿어지지 않을 정도입니다. 헤드 바빙 옵션만 추가되면 (가능하다면 랜턴도, 또 라이터도) 거의 완벽한 인디공포게임입니다.

There were no issues with the story or gameplay. It was very smooth and the storytelling was incredibly compelling. Despite being just two brothers and an independent developer, they’ve done a fantastic job. I’m looking forward to their future games. Give these developers and this story a chance.
