About
Unmourned is a first-person psychological horror game where unsettling gameplay and a chilling story collide.
The unmourned are never at peace... and neither are you.
The story follows Jason, a man who moves into a new house and soon begins to experience disturbing paranormal activities. As he searches for answers, he is haunted by visions of the past, revealing a dark and tragic history tied to the previous owners. The family that once lived there mysteriously disappeared, and as Jason delves deeper into the house’s dark past, he uncovers a hidden door that reveals secrets meant to remain buried forever.
Transition between reality and visions as you're forced to experience haunting memories. Each shift reveals disturbing events, bringing you closer to the tragic story that ties the haunting to the house.
"Survive the darkness, or be consumed by it."
Unmourned features a set of mechanics designed to heighten the tension and terror of your experience:
Random Event System: Paranormal activities occur randomly throughout the house, ensuring no two experiences are the same. You never know what might happen next.
Sanity System: The longer you remain in the dark, the more your grip on reality weakens. As your sanity fades, the paranormal activity around you grows stronger, bringing you closer to the edge of insanity.
Night Vision Camera: A camera equipped with night vision, helping you navigate dark areas and escape lurking threats.
Photographic Camera: When the lights go out, the only way to uncover hidden truths is through the lens of your camera. Use it to reveal what the darkness conceals.

This game was hot garbage from the start. It definitely doesn't have the quality of games released even 5 years ago. I didn't even bother finishing it. The story is convoluted, nothing makes sense, and its just Jump scare after jump scare. Sure a few are good and need for a horror game but that's entirely what this game relies on. The atmosphere is ♥♥♥♥, the controls and movement are ♥♥♥♥, and its a complete rip off of visage that also some how manages to rip off layers of fear, a bit of silent hill, outlast 1 and 2 by the end. I ended up watching a YouTube video for the ending cause I couldn't be bothered to sit through anymore of it. By the end of my first 45 minutes I was no longer scared and could accurately predict the jump scares. Here's a break down Start: House with ghosts turning off lights and a sanity meter and a safe room to put trinkets from each chapter..... if you've ever played visage its clear as day. Middle: some ♥♥♥♥ ass library and you need to crawl through the sewers to get there? Wtf? Why? Its not even remotely close to a library. Looks more like some kinky chapel and then we may as well add in a music stage cause the wife plays the piano so let's really get the layers of fear vibes and make sure her whole background revolves around that End: a school where the memories show the daughter is shunned and is sickin the head, everyone is afraid and weirded out by her, a hospital with patients that overtook the place. Then you're outside and the villagers have gone demonic and now have a cult. Oh and you get a camera with night vision... cause why not. If we're gonna rip off every successful horror game so blatantly, may as well go for it and really show how little creativity we have. The sanity meter does nothing btw idk why its even a thing. The main antagonists are a murdered family, a religious family at that and their time line takes place in 1968..... yet their clothing suggests they should be in 1868 with their Victorian era robes. We're talking about the same time that has Elvis and the Beatles.... and these people look like they should be on the Oregon trail. The father is head to toe in old era catholic robes, the mother is in an 1800s dress, and the daughter is just in a slightly newer looking dress compared to the parents. The main character Jason is so lackluster and underwhelming. Voice acting sucks but you can't expect much when the script is terrible. " i guess this sewer leads to the library. " im not kidding... that's an actual word for word quote from the main character... you go outside to go to the library to find more info about the family who lived in the house before Jason. You walk outside, into the woods. Following the path you come to a dead end with a sewer lid... and in the creators minds this makes sense. Cause if I was walking towards the library and I came across a sewer, im 100% jumping in and going that way to find the library! Seriously wtf? There is no doubt in my mind they played all of the aforementioned games I listed and said, what if we did them all at once?! Got 1/8th of the process started and said ♥♥♥♥ it, chat GPT can write this. This was not worth even the sale price I paid. Normally this a $25 game.... think about that.. $25 for a pile of ♥♥♥♥. Games are ridiculous in prices in todays world and its absurd that they felt this was a good price. It was already past the refund period before I even played it so there's no going back for me but you can save yourself the time and effort. What's that? You want to play it for thr story anyway? Let me save the trouble, the story sucks and makes no sense. Its stops being whatever it was and becomes everything it stole from. Go watch it on YouTube and you will get whatever satisfaction you want for free. Its not worth your money.
Uma história muito boa, gráficos que entregam uma boa atmosfera. Deu para se divertir bastante. Dificuldade na média
It's OK, but I gotta strike points for the up/down motion to open doors. Very aggravating..other gameplay is fun.
a great gaming experience, would highly recommend and will play more titles from this developer.
this game is insane good, Quadro AAAA Horror GAME .
nice
BEST HORROR GAME EVER MADE.
Unmourned was a game that had me excited long before it was released, and thankfully... it actually lived up to the hype. From the first trailer, I had a feeling this one was going to be something special. It had a creepy atmosphere, an interesting premise, and honestly gave me Ramona vibes. Now, is it quite on the same level as Ramona? I don't think it quite reaches those heights, but that's a pretty high bar to clear. Even so, Unmourned is a fantastic horror game in its own right. You play as Jason, who moves into a new house only to find himself haunted by increasingly disturbing paranormal events. As things spiral out of control, you're forced to uncover the truth behind the disappearance of the home's previous owners. And let me tell you... it's a pretty dark story. The atmosphere is one of the game's biggest strengths. From the moment you step into the house, there's this constant feeling that something is watching you. Every hallway, every room, and every strange sound had me wondering what was waiting around the next corner. The sound design deserves a lot of credit as well. It does a fantastic job of building tension without relying solely on jumpscares. When the scares do happen, they're well-timed and caught me off guard more than once. I also really enjoyed the puzzles. They make you stop and think without ever becoming frustrating. I never felt completely lost, but I also wasn't just handed the answers. It struck a really nice balance that kept the game moving while still making progression feel rewarding. From a technical standpoint, everything ran smoothly. I didn't run into any bugs or glitches during my playthrough, which made it easy to stay immersed in the experience from beginning to end. One thing worth mentioning is the length. Steam says I have almost 8 hours in the game... but don't let that fool you. I streamed the entire thing, and if you've ever watched one of my streams, you already know I'm a professional procrastinator. I'll stop to talk with chat, get distracted by literally everything, and somehow turn a four-hour game into an all-day adventure. Realistically, I'd say Unmourned is about a 3–4 hour experience, and I think that's the perfect length for the story it tells. Overall, I had a great time with Unmourned. It has a creepy atmosphere, a dark and engaging story, solid puzzles, great sound design, and enough well-placed scares to keep you on edge without becoming overwhelming. If you're a fan of paranormal horror games, this is one I think just about anyone would enjoy playing. It's a well-rounded horror experience, and one I'd happily recommend.
