Nice take on a classic platformer. In each stage you have to collect all diamonds to reveal a key. Once you caught the key the exit opens and you’re free to move on. Sounds simple, but there are some caveats which make the game really interesting. In the background there is a timer. Once you run out of time a ghost, which remained idle until then, awakens and chases you. If you play on easy it will just push you and try to prevent you from reaching the next platform. On hard, it will kill you on contact. There are also boss stages which are a great challenge! You can collect points through eating fruit and beating stages (extra points if you have some time left on the clock). That’s a nice twist for the Arcade Mode. For the Story Mode it didn’t really make any difference. However, the Story Mode is great, because you don’t loose your progress if you die. The graphics are cute, the soundtrack nice and the story is okay (an evil poodle?!). Where the game really shines is its level design. The levels are hard, but they feel fair and give a nice feeling of accomplishment once beaten.
Fun platformer with a massively retro vibe and addictive gameplay. If you like a twist on a classic - this one is for you!
Why does a Free mode suddenly shows me the time limit after 2 level? https://steamcommunity.com/app/2971450/discussions/0/597388114631079329/ Why does Arcade mode also do that? Can we have limits in Arcade mode only? Can the game not distract me with the giant clock image and ticking when I have 10 seconds left for level? https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3466084876
Fun little platformer, nothing too serious, but cutsey.
It's a good little game, I don't usually play platformers but I was asked to check this one out and I would argue that it is very much worth the £1.49 price tag. The sound design is nice with the music going along well and the sound when you pick up fruits being quite pleasant. The controls are good, being quite simple with no random nonsense being added it, making it easy to play. The graphics emanate the vibes that it is going for with the retro arcade machine aesthetic. The levels provide enough challenge to keep it interesting, accompanied by mechanics to help you along that fit nicely. The only negative if I had to search for one is that when you are on a level there is no way to restart it other than to die and play up to that point again. Overall, a pretty good little game with nice aesthetics that I would recommend picking up. 👍
Es mach spaß uns ist anspruchsvoll. Es ist gerade frustrierend genug um noch weiterkommen zu wollen.
Really nice precision-platformer. Shocked it has so few reviews honestly. Artwork is great, feels good if high-intensity platformers are your thing.
