I really like this game. It has great potential. I don't need lots of graphics to enjoy playing, just a way to build something in a progressive and logical manner. Under the Yoke has that. My only beef with it is the current week-work tax in which you lose skill points as you expand, which results in your character not being able to do anything if they have improved their land to a certain extent. This seems somewhat counterintuitive in a game where the whole goal is to grow enough to escape serfdom. If this little issue is cleared up I'd be happy to change my review and thank the developer for his work. The game would be really great if the growth avenue were to be cleared up. As it is, I still like it and recommend it if you enjoy logical growth for short while.
such an addicting game and the creator is genuinely so lovely

ENGLISH Very good indie game from this developer — I think it has a strong foundation that could be expanded in a second installment. It definitely reminds me of a game I really enjoyed in my childhood, The Guild. I believe I read somewhere that a sequel might be possible, one that goes deeper and adds new mechanics, so I recommend buying it — especially at its current price — to support the studio. The game will offer plenty of hours of gameplay if you enjoy this historical period and this type of game, which mixes role-playing and life simulation. Also, from what I can see, the developer doesn’t abandon their games and tries to update and fix bugs as much as possible, considering it’s a one-person studio. Without a doubt, they’ve earned a spot among my favorite indie developers.
UPDATE: Automation has been added, a scheduling system is in place, with all of that the game went from being a chore to being a cozy little experience that I can heartily recommend for the price. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Would need a lot of QoL changes to be worth your time. The UI is a mess, but even that would be acceptable if the loop itself wasn't so obnoxiously tedious. New month comes around? Cool, you need to spend four days at church and four days resting or your status bars will decrease. That's fine, it could be interesting to push yourself when there's tons of work to be done (i.e summer harvesting) and suffer maluses until your character takes a break. The problem is this process isn't automated and it's a real-time pausable game. So every single month you need to pause, drag your character to church, set them to pray four times and unpause for a few seconds while they complete it. Then your character automatically starts to rest, so you keep it unpaused for a few more seconds but not too long because resting doesn't "stop", so they'll just keep going unless you assign them again. Pause, reassign somewhere else, you now have about a minute before you have to do that process over again. It's genuinely mind-numbing to have this be in the game, please add some kind of scheduling system so I can just automatically fulfill his needs without so much needless dragging and clicking.
Early on I had written something else, but after subsequent updates the issue I was having was taken care of! The game now runs reliably without crashing, which is great news because I love playing it! I think it's really rewarding that the game has mechanics for rewarding your friendship with villagers and such. Thank you, devs, for making it work again! :-)
Great game. it's need more QoL and updates.
