⚔️ FAIRY TAIL 2 - A Mixed Bag of Magic
What I Played: As a huge Fairy Tail fan who 100%-ed the first game, I jumped into FAIRY TAIL 2 full of excitement. I poured hours into the game, eagerly diving into the new storyline and hoping for an improved experience. The Good:

The combat mechanics remain as enjoyable as the first game, allowing you to unleash those signature Fairy Tail spells with style. I found myself experimenting with different character combinations to pull off some epic moves.
Exploring the rich world of Fairy Tail once again was nostalgic and fun. From Magnolia to the Grand Magic Games, the game does a great job capturing the essence of the series' locations.
The character progression system offers a decent amount of depth, allowing you to customize your team to suit your playstyle. Leveling up and unlocking new abilities felt rewarding and kept me engaged.
The variety of side quests and activities to engage in outside the main story is a nice touch. It breaks up the main narrative and adds extra content for those looking to delve deeper into the Fairy Tail universe.
The Bad:

While the combat is engaging, I have to agree with the user's sentiment that the game lacks some of the depth and mechanics of the first installment. It feels like a step back in terms of innovation.
Graphically, FAIRY TAIL 2 doesn't seem to have made significant improvements over its predecessor, which was a bit disappointing. I was hoping for a more visually stunning experience to complement the magical world of Fairy Tail.
The music, although good, does become repetitive after extended playtime. A bit more variety in the soundtrack could have enhanced the overall immersive experience of the game.
Unfortunately, the story pacing in FAIRY TAIL 2 felt rushed at times, not allowing certain moments to breathe and have the impact they deserved. It left me wanting more depth and immersion in the narrative.
Verdict: Recommended - Despite its shortcomings, FAIRY TAIL 2 still manages to capture the essence of the beloved anime series. If you're a die-hard fan like me, you'll enjoy revisiting the world of Fairy Tail and engaging in magical battles once more. However, if you're looking for a groundbreaking sequel that surpasses its predecessor, you might find yourself wishing for a bit more magic.

it feels as if they took everyting people enjoyd from the 1st game ... and didnt put it in this one ontop of that the ui feels clunky and slow the forced switching between characters feels like a annoyance rather then a mechanic and the fights are just not fun
Horrible sequel. You need to beat the game to open the DLC. Constant crashes on Steam Deck (verified). Hard to believe Gust did this. They can do so much better. Believe the bad reviews. The world is awful to explore. Just pointless mobs. Never ending boss fights. No side content.
- Braindead lazy ass button smasher combat system - Less characters than the previous game - anime accuracy sends regards - recicled animations from the first game - what in the actual ♥♥♥♥ are theese lame DLC prices?
amazing game for fairy tails fan just wish we could play as more characters
If you're like me and were wondering if this game is worth your time and money, let me say this. I bought this game on a sale, don't remember how big. After seeing some playthroughs on YT and other reviews I was wondering if i would like it. It seemed like a downgrade - only 3 party members at once instead of 5, bosses supposedly easy but spongy and different direction of combat than in the first game - all of that was not really appealing. Either way, I gave it a chance and I don't regret. Game shows as if you only have 3 party members, but you can switch them out at any time and you usually have at least 2-4 members in reserve that you can change in. Bosses were a little spongy (I were playing on hard I think - not the hardest difficulty), but thanks to the mechanics of the combat it wasn't really that visible. And of course, combat. At first it was a little weird, but give it 2h and it starts to be fun. Another plus of this game is the BIG map it offers. And the best part of it is that it's an open world (not at first of course, but after unlocking all areas you can just walk the whole map on foot without teleports, which is sick for a game like this). Won't be spoiling all mechanics tho. Overall, I recommend, but only on sale.
The first one was good, this is ♥♥♥♥. So dissapointed, do better. And the DLC prices? What the hell....game is a total rip off.
Infelizmente ta longe do primeiro....
