About
You know, when you explain an idea, the idea fundamentally changes.
UNBEATABLE is an anime-juiced rhythm adventure where you (figuratively) destroy on stage while you (literally) destroy on stage. During rhythm gameplay, you only need two buttons: a button for up and a button for down. Simple to understand! The complicated part is doing it. Try not to get destroyed yourself.
Half the game is walking around and taking things at your own pace. The other half is trying to keep up with ours.
The pink-haired girl is Beat, and she is you, and you have a lot of things to worry about. The cops are everywhere, and they are mad at you for what feels like no good reason. Though it doesn't help your case that you keep making friends with people that the cops are mad at for slightly better reasons. But what do I know?
Talk to people, help them out (or don't, I'm not your mom!), play huge concerts, and punch cops. And then run away from the cops you punched. Also there are monsters or something. Not sure what's going on there?!?!
All of this culminates in massive setpieces where everything is at stake. The music got you here. It'll get you through it.
*if this was 1999 this section would be called "talk the talk and rock the rock"
UNBEATABLE's full arcade mode is an entire game by itself with its own progression system and a full online component. There's modifiers, tons of songs (with more to come!) and a whole challenge board to beat, with things to do that range from as simple as "beat a song on easy mode" to, one may presume, something as complicated as "solve an ancient riddle while skateboarding." That's not a real example.
**if this was 1999 this section would be called "party like it's now"
FEATURES:
Story Mode: 6-8 hours. Arcade Mode: UNLIMITED
Characters that hate you!
Maybe also some that don't!
The arcade mode has a cute little profile you can customize and unlock stuff for and I think that's pretty neat
Graphics! We'd describe them but I mean it's right there, you can see it
A whole entire double album worth of original songs
plus acoustic versions of those songs
oh and also remixes, too
You can unlock all the songs by playing the narrative OR just by playing the arcade game exclusively! Great for those who truly hate stories
Something (in this game) will make you feel something (in real life)!
It's anime
If you think about it, QTEs are basically just rhythm games with no music
Please, whatever you do, the title is either all caps or no caps. Be kind to us.
And the idea changes you in return.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

If you're here for the arcade mode, you'll probably enjoy this game. If you're here for the story mode, know you'll encounter frequent performance issues, bugs, an unfinished feel and a pretty disjointed narrative. Nonetheless, it has a decent ending, but these frequent issues take me out of the experience and leave a bad taste in my mouth.
unbeatable is a really exciting game, and it's presentation and songs selection is excellent (which adds a lot! do not take this part as me 'not liking the game') but, with day one paid dlc and another dlc asking for more money i really think the pricing betrays the fanbase a lot. also huge graphical issues and frame-drops (IN A RHYTHYM GAME) sorta sour the experience. my experience is mostly based on it's state near release, so graphical issues might be doing better nowadays, but the story didnt hook me at all from the first hour or so, gameplay or story wise. i kinda came for the gameplay and so many songs are just locked behind extra paywalls. taiko drum master pricing scheme strikes again
I really don't know what is going on half the time. The story is hard to follow. But the art style is nice
I bought UNBEATABLE during a Steam sale after randomly finding it while looking for rhythm games. My initial thought was basically: “Wow, this looks really fun… maybe a little easy, though ^^” This was an incorrect opinion. ._. I immediately selected UNBEATABLE difficulty because apparently I had confused confidence with competence</3. By episode 3, after discovering that story mode has limited retries, barely any health regeneration, and the ability to make every mistake feel like I had personally injured a fictional girl, I respectfully returned to Expert difficulty with what remained of my dignity T^T Nowadays, UNBEATABLE difficulty does not stand a chance against me >:3 Character development!! ^^ I expected a fun rhythm game. Instead, I got one of the most important games I have ever played. The music permanently altered my brain chemistry. The artwork is gorgeous. The animation has so much personality. The characters feel alive in a way that makes every story-mode heartbreak feel genuinely awful, because it doesn’t feel like you merely lost a song, it feels like you failed the person playing it </3 Thanks, D-CELL. Very emotionally responsible game design. I love being psychologically attacked by a health bar T^T The rhythm gameplay is incredibly satisfying because it is approachable without being shallow. It can let you feel cool for approximately twelve seconds before producing a chart that reaches through your monitor, grabs you by the shoulders, and reminds you who is in charge ._. Learning the patterns, improving at songs that once completely destroyed me, and eventually becoming genuinely cracked at the game has been ridiculously rewarding >:3 But what really got me was how much personality exists in every part of it. UNBEATABLE feels loud, stylish, sincere, strange, funny, messy, emotional, and completely confident in what it wants to be. It feels like something made by people who cared so much that they forgot to behave normally about it. I understand this feeling because I also forgot to behave normally about it :3 I have: Played for more than 55 hours ^^ Earned all 44 achievements >:3 Reached top 1500 in arcade mode global ranking at the time of writing this review ;p Drawn Beat Organized a significant portion of my Steam identities around this game T^T Listened to the soundtrack an extremely healthy and medically recommended number of times :P Personally edited, exported, converted, numbered, titled, and organized 60 soundtrack videos Built a one-gigabyte interactive Wallpaper Engine music player with shuffle history, favorites, looping, volume controls, media ducking, audio reactivity, animated transitions, and enough customization settings to frighten an ordinary wallpaper Published it publicly because apparently “I wish there were more UNBEATABLE wallpapers” was the beginning of a several-week engineering project ._. This is not a cry for help. This is a positive review ^^; The strangest part is that I discovered UNBEATABLE before I had fully discovered myself. It became part of Rosy history before I even knew Rosy existed T^T Looking back, it feels like the game arrived early and quietly planted a little flag in the person I was going to become 🌸 It helped me realize what I actually love when I choose things for myself: rhythm games, emotional stories, expressive artwork, feminine characters, weird little worlds, music that makes me feel everything at once, and games that are not afraid to care deeply about their own identity ^^ UNBEATABLE did not single-handedly change my life. That would be an unreasonable amount of pressure to place on a rhythm game. It merely showed up at exactly the right time, became part of how I found myself, permanently occupied several rooms in my brain, emotionally devastated me, humbled me by episode 3, inspired one of the largest personal projects I have ever completed, and became one of the best purchases I have ever made T^T So, you know. Normal videogame stuff :3 Please play UNBEATABLE!! >< The game is fantastic, the soundtrack is incredible, Beat is precious, and D-CELL tested it at 8K despite apparently knowing in advance that this was a mistake :P 10/10. I thought it looked easy and now it owns part of my identity >:3 ( P.S. Keep the flashy settings on. The visual overload is PART OF THE EXPERIENCE. Turning them off is legal, but spiritually incorrect >:P )
one of the best games
UNBEATABLE is a game that completely caught me by surprise. I didn't follow it nearly as much as I should have. I found a video of white label, decided to try it, and my computer couldn't run it well so I gave up. White label would stay in my library for all those years and constantly remind me of this. Eventually, I start hearing talk of the game close to release. I was getting excited since I was really wanting something new and a rhythm game and a story focused rhythm game sounded like it would be everything I wanted. I received money on Christmas that immediately went towards breakout edition. As soon as I started the game, I was already so amazed by this game. Invested in everything as soon as I saw the silly descriptions put on the difficulties. UNBEATABLE has everything I could want from loveable characters, fun dialog, a story with so much meaning, stupid minigames, and a rhythm game that I will be playing for so long. As far as the story goes, I don't go a day without thinking about it whether it's the major plot points or some random dialog that I get reminded of, but the arcade mode also is a reason I love this game so much. There's so many songs to play and so much more to come. I'm always waiting for the monthly updates to see what new song/s we get so that I have more to play on repeat. The promise of additional DLCs also give me a lot to hope for. I love this game so much and I hope that as many people get to play and experience it as possible. I love UNBEATABLE! <3
as a rhythm game, i really like the different rhythm games.. or rhythm minigames or something in the story mode, i wish there was a way to play them outside of that. the arcade mode is like a standard rhythm game, which if is what you are looking for, is good. go listen to the music. so the story. it's messy. it kind of drags you along in the first two episodes, which is, well, a 3rd of the story, though by the third episode, everything starts making more sense and onward. still, the story keeps jumping over explaining how or why some things happen? bugs and some design choices often chip away at you while you try to enjoy the story. those are the not fun parts. those aside, i finished the game literally just now and i don't know what to say about the ending yet. but the dialogue is really good. it's the most consistent part of the writing, and it's impactful. it almost makes up for the flaws of the storytelling. this, and the flaws, though, makes the game feel especially real, like, a creation made with a little of every kind of thing their creators are, and that feels nice. that and the art (including the visual variety) also speaks for the story. though i really wouldn't complain if the bugs were fixed i rate 4/5 stars
