About
You know, when you explain an idea, the idea fundamentally changes.
UNBEATABLE is an anime-juiced rhythm adventure where you (figuratively) destroy on stage while you (literally) destroy on stage. During rhythm gameplay, you only need two buttons: a button for up and a button for down. Simple to understand! The complicated part is doing it. Try not to get destroyed yourself.
Half the game is walking around and taking things at your own pace. The other half is trying to keep up with ours.
The pink-haired girl is Beat, and she is you, and you have a lot of things to worry about. The cops are everywhere, and they are mad at you for what feels like no good reason. Though it doesn't help your case that you keep making friends with people that the cops are mad at for slightly better reasons. But what do I know?
Talk to people, help them out (or don't, I'm not your mom!), play huge concerts, and punch cops. And then run away from the cops you punched. Also there are monsters or something. Not sure what's going on there?!?!
All of this culminates in massive setpieces where everything is at stake. The music got you here. It'll get you through it.
*if this was 1999 this section would be called "talk the talk and rock the rock"
UNBEATABLE's full arcade mode is an entire game by itself with its own progression system and a full online component. There's modifiers, tons of songs (with more to come!) and a whole challenge board to beat, with things to do that range from as simple as "beat a song on easy mode" to, one may presume, something as complicated as "solve an ancient riddle while skateboarding." That's not a real example.

FEATURES:
Story Mode: 6-8 hours. Arcade Mode: UNLIMITED
Characters that hate you!
Maybe also some that don't!
The arcade mode has a cute little profile you can customize and unlock stuff for and I think that's pretty neat
Graphics! We'd describe them but I mean it's right there, you can see it
A whole entire double album worth of original songs
plus acoustic versions of those songs
oh and also remixes, too
You can unlock all the songs by playing the narrative OR just by playing the arcade game exclusively! Great for those who truly hate stories
Something (in this game) will make you feel something (in real life)!
It's anime
If you think about it, QTEs are basically just rhythm games with no music
Please, whatever you do, the title is either all caps or no caps. Be kind to us.
And the idea changes you in return.

Love the game, but the name is confusing as it is very much beatable (dad joke of the year)
Sometimes this game feels a bit rough around the edges, but at other times, it is pure CINEMA. Unbeatable is one of the most passionately made games I have ever played. Even though the game has its lows it still shows that these developers truly loved making this game. And that there might be what makes this game what it is. Unbeatable being a rhythm game is clear. The gameplay is great. Nothing that crazy but very enjoyable. I can see true rhythm game fans enjoying this quite a bit. The game's story is also great even though it was a bit confusing at times especially near the end. But even with the confusion, the story was touching and I enjoyed it. The game feeling a bit rough around the edges is the best way to describe its problems. The gameplay between actual rhythm segments felt a bit weird and sometimes confusing. Also having random dialogue not being voice acted in the middle of the conversation was a bit annoying. I get that not all of the dialogue must be voice acted especially for an indie game but having it happen in just the most random places was weird. Just a bunch of little things that made the experience a bit annoying. But putting those problems aside, oh man the animations, music, and atmosphere were easily the best part about Unbeatable. Such an outstanding art style with masterful animations made watching this game cinema. I just wish there was more of this. Those hype moments where it starts with a cutscene and a banger rhythm game segment easily counter the negatives of this game. Truly a one of a kind game made with pure love. 9/10.
3.5/5 story, but a 5/5 rhythm game. I decided to separate the scores simply because the gameplay and music are the best parts of the game and an easy recommend for those reasons alone, as well as my favorite parts of the game. The story is very good too, albeit janky and goes pretty fast and loose with what it wants to do per episode. It feels very structured, though fast paced in the beginning, but then it loses the structure around the halfway point in exchange for telling a more emotionally driven piece of vent art. I mean, the whole thing is a vent art piece on many themes, like grief, creativity, depression, family and The System™, and it's plainly written and voice acted like a coming of age story, so be prepared for that. Still, I think it had something to say and that really came through in the music and the highlight moments of the story. It falls short for the jankiness of the narrative, because although intentional, was not enough of that for me. It was disjointed, but only half-committed to running the story like that, oftentimes falling back on a linear track. Another fault I find is that the cringey millennial/zillennial dialogue that dances on the edge of sincerity and obnoxious self-awareness, which sometimes simply slipped to being obnoxious. The characters are embodiments of different emotions of the writer(s) and that happens sometimes to a fault. It doesn't happen most of the time, but enough to be noticeable. Sometimes their personalities blend together due to the way the dialogue's written, which also broke immersion for me. Still, again, despite those faults, it's a great story that did move me at times and I think justifies being with the game at all. The story's ambitious in its themes and narrative and I will never fault a piece of art for trying. This game did and you can feel it. It's short and sweet too, you could probably play it in one sitting if you wanted to and as the game creators themselves suggest you might. The gameplay? Amazing. Music's great too, reminded me to widen my palette beyond the ♥♥♥♥ I've been listening to while on the bus and whatnot. It's more of the game coming to me at a good time, but I'm reviewing off of my personal experience anyway and so it deserves praise for that too. Overall, for anyone interested in rhythm games, I'd send this game their way in a heartbeat.
There are no words. ...Except the ones I'm about to write here. The story moved me to tears on multiple occasions. The gameplay was really creative, but not too hard. It didn't take 23 hours to beat the story, to be clear. I think I left the game open on the main menu... The art in this game is genuinely beautiful. Once you think you know their tricks, they throw something new at you. Don't even get me started on the music. Seriously, I'm not going into it. Just trust me, it's good. Idk. I have a lot of thoughts but it's a little hard to write this review while still being on the verge of tears. Please please please play this game. <3
you can tell how much love was put into this game - the presentation is top notch. the creators are clearly artists/musicians first (which also means pretty janky gameplay sometimes) but it's justified by the incredible soundtrack, arcade mode, and one of the most affecting stories in indie gaming i've experienced so far.
one of the most interesting story that i have played i think the ending was the same for me when playing rdr2 for the first time made me cry fr T-T
A little rough around the edges, but very clearly has a lot of heart beating behind it. Definitely worth a playthrough if you like music games even a little bit!
One of, if not the best game I've ever played story made me cry at least a third of the time this truly is our unbeatable
bazı yerlerde salak olduğum için boş boş dolaşmam dışı harika oyun müzikler falan çok iyi alın
