Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.57/day in the week to Aug 14 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Please let me give you a unique rundown on a predicament I incurred during my wrath. During the character creation phase, Tyranny has you build a "conquest history" instead of simply choosing a background. This is a prolonged prologue that details your actions across multiple battlefields... supply chains, civilian subjugation, multiple fronts of war strategy... this ultimately involved me favoring the "purple" faction in certain areas of the map, since their methods seemed the most practical at the time. However, playing through the story and making my own emergent opinions, I began to favor the "red" faction's approach to war and understanding their battle philosophy on a deeper level. This led to me belittling the "purple" men and soon our faction relationship tanked. So, I'm with the reds, but in my previous "conquest history" I left many areas for purple rule! When visiting major city hubs, they transform into hostile places, places of former alliance, former friends. When I kill, I think of names, of thoughts... I don't know how to feel about that. Even if I am above the law, am I immune to my own judgement? Tyranny features very challenging additions to the Pillars of Eternity formula, proving to require a much more involved use of its gameplay systems to succeed on normal difficulties. The pleasure that comes in this game mastery mirrors the pleasure of conquest. Ascending from the traditional approval/disapproval in CRPG dialogue, Tyranny introduces a dual loyalty/fear system which means your companions don't need to like you to keep them under your boot (or click) of control. If your favorite aspect of RPGs is manipulating the mastery of your environment, and all those individuals therein, Tyranny is your next big bet. Thoroughly enjoying this. Quality compared to Pillars is definitely a little different, some reused assets and some less voice acted segments, but I enjoy the areas of the game that seem a little more developed than Pillars. Where combat in Pillars felt commonplace and passing, Tyranny makes me feel my heart beat.. and often stops my heart when I fail. Winning here is more difficult, but it makes me feel that much stronger. I want to add that it's not very often you find a game where you want to talk to your companions and everyone around you at length. Talk their heads off even! I really appreciate the character writing here, a definite step above some other Obsidian titles. I find myself taking a moment to enjoy a story. I haven't enjoyed characters this much since my playthrough of The Outer Worlds! Nice!

RPG where being in the world of conflict you can forge its' fate towards end of story
Tyranny is not just the name of the game, but force you can use (or abuse) to achieve goals on your path if only you would feel a need to. And I bet you will if you are not naive enough to believe that factions and enemies who hate each other can live together peacefully under your sight. That will be the pain or a problem to solve, and is an interesting challenge to overcome through your playthrough on your way to power.
Every character is a sociopathic monster, just like I imagine the developers must be, that this is the fantasy world they wished to share. Boring character building, boring combat, boring one dimensional murder hobos in every single conversation. Obviously this game was made by serial killers for serial killers. Magic creation, money and equipment, are all pointless time wasting grind festivals. There is only one best way to play the game and if you don't do that then the game simply isn't going to work. Did I mention how mind numbingly tedious and boring it all is? I can't stress that enough.
Really great 20 hours. Interesting world and it's good to be bad. Looking forward to replaying this again in couple of years :D
Good game, great story.
Great game, tons of choices to make that change the whole landscape of your playthrough. The RTS strategy combat is what you would expect if you've played pillars of eternity. It is interesting starting out as the 'bad guys' and being able to choose to continue as an evil fascist conqueror or join the resistance. And even if you do choose the evil route you get two different flavors: the disciplined, but small elite commandos, or the massive, barbaric and expendable shock troops. The game has tons of factions you can ally with or piss of at your will and it will shape the future of your playthrough. Good replay value in that you can totally change the story of the game every time you play by making a few key decisions.
