About
Typer Survivor is an action roguelike typing game. You type the words of enemies before they reach you at the center to defeat them.
Enemies come with different hurdles to defeat them. Zombies come as compound words that split into half the word when defeated like the undead they are. Ghosts that have their word fade in and out. Special enemies that start with a capital letter. You always know what to expect depending on the enemy type, which keeps battles varied and engaging.
There are many characters to choose from. They all lean toward certain stats, like high survivability or magic. But they also come with some game changing abilities and trade-offs. These include things like less physical damage but your projectiles always apply burn, or your character can't cast spells but they throw sticky mines for controlled explosions.

Press space to enter spellcasting mode. Type out the spell you wish to cast. Spells can be learned through level ups, as event rewards, or treasure chests. These add even more variety to your toolkit and add an extra layer to many characters playstyles.
Earn experience from every enemy defeated and choose upgrades each time you level up. Unlock new spells, boost your stats, and find items that change the game. Defeat is permanent however, so you must start fresh each run. Try different characters and item combinations to discover your ideal combat strategies.

Use the letters you collect to unlock mutations for your characters. These alter the way they play in some serious ways. Typically not good or bad, just different. For instance, you can turn the fire mage that typically burns enemies into an ice mage that freezes enemies instead.
Multiple Modes
- Campaign — Fight through four themed worlds: the Blobby Caverns, Necromancer Tower, Frozen Wasteland, and Dragon Core. Face unique bosses and stop to rest, loot treasure, and make choices at special rooms along the way.
- Endless — How long can you last? Four difficulty tiers from Easy to Extreme.
- Practice — Warm up your fingers without the pressure.
- 2-Player Race — Go head to head with a friend on the same keyboard.
- Type Mining — Take some downtime at the mine. Spend letters to mine for rocks with chances at big payouts.
Grow Between Runs
Earn Letters — the meta-currency dropped by every enemy — and spend them to permanently unlock new characters and character alterations.

This could have VERY easily been a boring game. Happy to say it is NOT. For everyone.
Epic Game, I was at a loss for words ;). Nice to dust off my typing skills and have fun while doing it! Excited to keep playing.
Just beat the blob king and it gave me the same rush as beating a dark souls boss. This game is certainly my type ;) Can't wait to play, discover, and unlock more. The gameplay is addicting and the music is great. Would recommend to anyone who wants to have fun while improving their typing skills.
A fun and immersive game that sharpens my typing skills while keeping me engaged with its different environments and dynamic maps!
There's something incredibly charming about the handmade sprite art style, combined with an addictive gameplay loop that sets this roguelike apart from others. In particular, the boss battles offer up challenges that you might see in an MMO, yet somehow work well in this survivor-style typing game. I haven't played anything quite like this, so it's great to see something new in a world where even the indie scene has become stale and homogenized. Now to sit down at my work desk and play this game while pretending to furiously reply to some emails.
Gameplay is fun and very addictive. Mechanics are intuitive and very rewarding. Also very re-playable and challenging. Made me a better typer!
better than type racer
A deceptively simple, addictive typing game. The progression system feels rewarding; you're always working towards the next upgrade. There are a ton of different classes; each with unique abilities and unlockable traits. Minimalist yet charming sprite work. The roguelike elements make each run feel a little different and unpredictable. Genuinely funny and bizarre moments. There are also risk/reward modifiers that can be enabled before a run for an added challenge. The game's got soul. I'm a mediocre typist, but my WPM and accuracy have already improved in the short time I've spent with the game so far. I just wish it had been around when I was learning how to touch-type.
