"Two Clusters: Kain" is an RPG Maker template job where the developer filled out maps and templates in the "so easy kids can use it" Final Fantasy ripoff construction kit, used some character generators for the dialogue pictures, and maybe some of their own assets (because wow, the in-game characters look so, so bad) and then dumped this on Steam so they could pretend to be a game developer. At least they're not trying to charge money for RPG Maker garbage. The writing in this game is all done with Google Translate or something, because wow, the English has been butchered. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at less than 100 concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
The start of the game is pretty slow. It is like an interactive story at the beginning, I did enjoy the dialogue and the interactions with the NPCS. If you would like to see a playthrough of the game play check out my video here: https://youtu.be/2Os-FFTknyM
I don't know what I'm doing.
it doesnt work i cant get past one part like it crashes
I’d probably go with a mixed review if I could. The gameplay is disappointing. It feels like it’s in Early Access. However, I was interested in the plot and the dialogue. I’ll go with a thumbs up because it’s free and the developer actually replied to a question I asked. This game has potential, but it also has several bugs. Despite the bugs, I was able to finish the main story, so the bugs aren’t totally game-breaking, but some of the side quests may not be possible. Apart from the bugs, there are a lot of spelling errors. The game occasionally crashes, but the save system seems to work okay, so you can just go back to your last save point. I thought that the ground combat was a little too hard. Space combat itself isn’t too bad, but there are way too many random pirate encounters. The developer concedes that the game is buggy, but has given up on using RPG Maker, so don’t expect any patches or updates. Final verdict. This game isn’t really recommended for most people, but it might be worth a shot if you are willing to take a chance on a buggy game.
